Taito's comeback continues with this revival of its most famous series, and while it's slim the old magic remains.
Its modern facelift looks great, but it is little more than an old classic in disguise.
Bubble Bobble 4 Friends will appeal to younger audiences. Older players will have to have very rose-tinted specs to appreciate this over previous versions.
A decent update that isn't quite challenging enough or long enough to justify it's high price point.
Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is a great modern addition to the series. It offers a solid balance of fun and challenge with high replayability due to the three-tier scoring system and collectables, as well as the inclusion of the original game in the series.
Overall, Bubble Bobble 4 Friends is every bit of Bubble Bobble and more. I’m just not sure the price tag justifies the gameplay.
