Critic Reviews for Super Soccer Blast
Super Soccer Blast is a top-shelf multiplayer sports game on Switch thanks to the great controls, smart design, and ease of play. The single-player content might be a little lacking, but overall, this is a well-crafted sports game. Honestly, it's not a surprise given Unfinished Pixel's track record with the fundamentally sound Super Volley Blast and Super Tennis Blast. I look forward to their next entry in their Super Sports Blast series that hopefully tackles hockey or American football.
Super Soccer Blast isn't going to revolutionise football games, but it's an enjoyable title to master and one that'll prove a hit at gaming parties.
Although it advertises intuitive gameplay, learning how to play Super Soccer Blast effectively will require a lot of practice and patience.
My journey of football games may be slightly different to most, but I started way back with Super Soccer on the SNES and Sensible Soccer on the Amiga 500. I progressed past maybe every football game ever made including ISS64, World-wide Soccer, Super Striker, Fifa and Pro Evolution Soccer.
Having already done a reasonably good job of knocking out two very playable indie sports titles in the Blast series the folks at Unfinished Pixel have stepped it up a notch to take on a bigger team sport, soccer...
The developers over at Unfinished Pixel did a tremendous job bringing us a fast and fun footy game for just $7.99. While we often get caught up in the intricacies within FIFA and PES, it's good every now and then to just have some fun. I had a smile on my face the entire time I played this game. That alone is worth eight bucks.
