Ever since the release of the admittedly excellent Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, it's been nothing but bad news for fans of the series. Not only did Ubisoft reject a sequel to The Lost Crown - one of the best Prince of Persia games in well over a decade - but it also completely disbanded the team behind it.
The upcoming Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake is just about the only scrap of hope left that Prince of Persia fans have, but troubled development and a vague release window of 2026 doesn't inspire much confidence. Thankfully, Ubisoft seems to be a lot more confident that it can meet the window this time around, and has actually narrowed down exactly when the game will launch.
In Ubisoft's latest earnings report, shared by Twitter user Okami13, Ubisoft reveals the games it expects to help the company financially throughout the current fiscal year, which will end on March 31, 2026. Ubisoft expects to have a decent year thanks to the release of Assassin's Creed Shadows and the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege X.
The only thing to blame for The Lost Crown's failings is Ubisoft mismanagement.
