Ghost of Yotei isn't out until October 2, but capitalism has never let inconvenient timing get in the way of a good merchandising opportunity. Sony's upcoming first-party samurai-savvy sequel has joined in on the odd but profitable trend of movies getting their own official popcorn buckets. There's only one twist: Ghost of Yotei is, needless to say, not a movie.
The bucket was available for purchase at AlamoMart, the online marketplace for all things Alamo Drafthouse, for just a handful of hours before selling out entirely. "This beautifully crafted bucket, shaped like a traditional Japanese rice basket," the official description reads, "is the perfect keepsake for any aspiring warrior." I'd rather have a sword, but what do I know?

A fake rice basket to keep your popcorn contained is an odd prospect on the best of days, but at least it makes some semblance of sense.
