Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is poised to shake up what has been a relatively big year in gaming, when it is expected to launch in November, like many other franchise entries. But it may not be a satisfying launch for everyone.
According to a leak from Dealabs Magazine, it appears that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will not be available on a single platform at launch. Although we hope that's not the case, the choice is highly logical, given Activision's previous history.
Based on the leak, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will not be arriving on the Switch 2 platform this year, when it launches. That launch, by the way, appears to be scheduled for November 14, 2025, based on prior leaks. This is to be expected by many fans, as Activision has had a troubled history supporting Nintendo platforms in general.
Although the publisher has experimented with portable editions of their Call of Duty games (lacking parity with the full PC and console versions), very few "mainline" Call of Duty games have made it to Nintendo consoles, especially lately.
