Call of Duty fans are accusing publisher Activision of attempting to trick the game's playerbase into pre-ordering the next installment in the series, Black Ops 7. The shooter has already been surrounded in controversy since its reveal, but now fans believe that a sneaky UI update could be the publisher's way of deceiving fans into mistakenly pre-ordering Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 before its November release.
Despite the fact that fans have yet to go hands-on with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, many appear to have already made up their mind from the game's first few trailers and decided that they'll be pre-ordering Battlefield 6 instead. Although a lot of the hate and anger is being targeted at Black Ops 7, it's more so that the community is growing tired of Activision's practices in recent years. From an incessant number of microtransactions, unrealistic store bundles, and non-stop collaborations, Call of Duty fans are begging for a more grounded and realistic approach. But with the returning Carry Forward feature allowing players to bring their Black Ops 6 cosmetics into Black Ops 7, it's going to be another year of cartoon characters and unicorn-themed weapons....
