We have failed as a society when it comes to Valve. Instead of bullying them into making more games in some of the best franchises ever made, we've collectively allowed them to sit back and enjoy the success of the Steam storefront, with Gabe Newell living his best life, scuba-diving every day on his luxury yacht. We could and should have been bullying him for Left 4 Dead 3, damn it.
While Valve has shown potential glimpses of getting back into game development properly, with various Half-Life 3 rumors that won't go away, we're yet to hear anything about Valve's other much-beloved franchise, Portal. Our last proper game in the series was Portal 2, all the way back in 2011, despite the game being absolutely incredible and a smash-hit on almost every front.
