The newest map added to FragPunk, Toyland, is basically a 1:1 copy of Counter-Strike 2's beloved Inferno, with nearly the exact same layout, spawn points, and more.
Although FragPunk ended up surprising a lot of us with how polished it was when it launched earlier this year, it's also had its fair share of controversies in that time. The alleged use of AI art and overwhelming amount of microtransactions instantly jump to mind, but it might have a bigger issue on its hands soon.
Last week, FragPunk saw its latest big update for Season 2, Chapter 2, Toys Awaken. Alongside a new Lancer and various new events, the big addition was an interesting map called Toyland that looks visually distinct from anything else in the game. At it turns out, though, it should be very familiar to Counter-Strike 2 players.
Over on Twitter, reliable Valve insider gabefollower shared a video run-through of Toyland and pointed out that it's a "ONE TO ONE copy" of Counter-Strike 2's Inferno map. While Toyland certainly has its own visual style that sets it apart, the actual layout is very similar to one of CS2's most popular maps....
