EA Sports FC 26 isn't set to fully release until September 26, but, as usual, many have paid for advanced access to the game which allows players to play the game a week early. There's enough of these players on Steam that the platform already has over 2,700 reviews, with about half of them being negative.
Both the negative and positive reviews are histrionic in tone, with some swearing up and down that this is the best FIFA/EA FC experience they've ever played and others condemning EA for another annual cash grab with little to no improvements made.
It's a fairly typical response to this series which has polarised many over the years. The sheer popularity and dominance of EA Sports FC has meant that both proponents and opponents of EA's monopoly tend to purchase it, with the latter cohort doing so begrudgingly.
