The latest patch for Rocket League will add extra authentication for in-game trading.

It has been announced that a new patch for Rocket League has been released. The major addition to the title through the new patch is that two-factor authorization, or 2FA, must be enabled on player's Epic Games Accounts in order to do player-to-player trading. In order to enable 2FA, players must verify the email that is attached to their Epic Games Account. It was noted that the first trade that players initiate after enabling 2FA may take longer than usual to process (around 30 seconds). However, trades after that should process normally.

The new patch for Rocket League will also make some fixes to bugs. These fixes include fixed lighting on Forbidden Temple, as well as removing a bug preventing split screen players from matchmaking in Competitive Playlist. A major update for Rocket League was dropped earlier this month, and fixed a huge issue with one of the game's Arenas, Neon Fields. After reports came in that Neon Fields' flashing lights were causing seizures, developer Psyonix gave players the opportunity to change the effects of the Arena. There is now a new settings option called "Effect Intensity," which allows gamers to adjust the intensity and motion visuals for Neon Fields. Players will be able to set the Arena to either "Default" or "Low." Choosing the "Low" setting will disable pulsing effects and flashing lights. The setting will also reduce or disable moving FX / lights / background visuals, as well as reduce the brightness or intensity of background lights.

Rocket League is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch. The game is free-to-play.
