The upcoming Halloween game got a big spotlight at last night's State of Play showcase, which revealed that Michael Myers has a Jason Vorhees-esque "shapejumping" ability that fans are very mixed on.
Yesterday's State of Play might not have given us the God of War metroidvania we've all been hearing about, but it did have a number of surprising reveals. One of the games that was highlighted during the showcase was Halloween, which was previously announced during Gamescom last month.
This time around, we got a proper look at how Halloween is going to play, which included a look at some of the abilities Michael Myers will be able to use. Interestingly, the Halloween game is introducing a "shapejumping" ability for Michael that lets him get around the map quickly to chase his victims, which has caused a bit of a stir.
Over on Twitter, GOREJ1RA shared a clip from the State of Play where Halloween's developers reveal Michael's "shapejumping" ability, which they sarcastically called "iconic". That tweet got a lot of attention, with some claiming that it's a copy of Jason's Morph from the Friday the 13th Game and others saying it doesn't fit the character....
