We've been writing about The Witcher 3's landmark tenth anniversary all year, and folks as near and dear to the game's production as Doug Cockle himself have voiced their own reflections all-the-while. CD Projekt has been busily celebrating right alongside the rest of us, with big bits like Gwent's physical release.

CD Projekt also announced cross-platform mod support as part of the festivities - a surprise patch for a decade-old video game which will tap into mod.io for smooth mod integration between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Alas, we'll be waiting until The Witcher 3's eleventh year on the market for this one.

My apologies for using the oh-so-overplayed "Geralt in a bathtub" joke up there, but hey, I'd take a steamy sauna relaxation session as a prime way to await some delayed content. Via The Witcher's official website, CD Projekt has announced a postponement of the spiffy cross-platform mod system until the somewhat nebulous '2026'. Might that mean early '26? Late '26? We don't know, but that's fine. It'll arrive when it arrives.
