As soon as the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed, everyone has been asking when the console is going to get its inevitable 3D Mario. That question seemed like an easy one since Nintendo usually launches a Mario game alongside or close to a new console's release, but it was somewhat complicated by Donkey Kong Bananza.
Bananza was developed by a lot of the same team as Super Mario Odyssey, making it seem as if a new 3D Mario might actually be some ways off. That's left us all wondering when we'll hear about the next game and what it'll look like, which is a feeling that Super Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto apparently shares.
