NVIDIA GeForce NOW has positioned itself as one of the biggest game streaming options, and a new partnership could make it even more convenient than ever for certain users. GeForce NOW allows users to stream games they own on PC to various platforms, making it possible to play them without strong hardware or hefty hard drives.
Today, Google announced GeForce NOW Fast Pass, a new service for Chromebook users that's compatible with "over 2000 PC games." Fast Pass is ad-free and allows users to skip the queue to stream games they own on digital storefronts like Steam. Starting today, Chromebook purchases will come with one year of GeForce NOW Fast Pass, providing "10 hours of gaming per month, with up to five unused hours rolling over."
On other platforms, GeForce NOW offers three basic options. Free access to the service features ads, requires users to sit in a queue for several minutes, and limits gaming sessions to one hour each. The "Performance" plan provides a year of ad-free gaming, six-hour sessions, and priority queue access for $99.99 a year.
