Three years on from its release, Baldur's Gate 3 continues to maintain an average concurrent player count of over 50,000 on Steam. Larian's mega-hit has incredible staying power for a (primarily) single-player title, with its most passionate players having played through the whole game dozens of times.
It's a testament to the unique appeal of Baldur's Gate 3; players are willing to replay the game immediately after finishing a playthrough because they can't find the same combination of storytelling, characterisation and player agency elsewhere. The high variability of each Baldur's Gate 3 campaign is also largely responsible for player retention, as no two playthroughs are exactly alike.
