Hollow Knight: Silksong will eventually get DLC, but until then, Team Cherry continues to work hard on the game, rolling out updates that fix bugs and issues flagged by its dedicated player base. A patch addressing a laundry list of issues went live earlier today, but Hollow Knight fans are still so accustomed to being fooled and let down that most of them don't believe it's real.
Today's 1.0.29740 update has gone live via Silksong's public beta branch, which means those who play on Steam can test it before it gets a wider rollout for everyone across all platforms. There's a lot of stuff in there, mostly minor bug fixes, which is why you might have missed a significant tweak to the way Silk Soar functions.
The patch note in question reads, "Allowed Silk Soar through top scene exits." Silk Soar, which can't be acquired until you reach Act 3 of the Hollow Knight sequel, is effectively a high jump.
