When Cyberpunk 2077 first launched back in 2020, few could have predicted just how monumental an experience it would become. After a disastrous arrival, developer CD Projekt Red deserves credit for sticking with the game and updating it repeatedly, to the point where it's now comfortably one of the best RPGs of the last decade or more.
The release of the Phantom Liberty DLC only further solidified that legacy, and it showed that there is plenty more potential to tell stories in the world they created for the game. Unfortunately, it seems like that might not be a reality any time soon, if new revelations from the proverbial horse's mouth are to be believed.
As first reported by Eurogamer, the developer responded directly to a fan asking about the potential arrival of future DLCs, and it isn't good news.
"We have no plans for additional DLCs or expansions," the developer stated. "If anything changes, we will inform you all!"
These questions have arisen because of the increasingly loud rumors around the potential release of a new story DLC for The Witcher 3, over ten years after that game originally launched. It will supposedly bridge the narrative gap between that game...
