The Fallout franchise is in a pretty good place right now, thanks almost entirely to the brilliant adaptation of the post-apocalyptic wastes into television form via Prime Video. Whilst it has been great fun to experience for the first time, the fans of the games can only be placated for so long without a new entry.
If you weren't keeping count, Fallout 4 celebrated a decade out in the wild last year, marking the occasion with an Anniversary Edition that broke most people's mod setups and served as a pretty major disappointment overall.
That leaves us waiting for the release of Fallout 5, which we have heard some conflicting things about over the last couple of years, and which might not be in players' hands for a really, really long time.
Over on Reddit, one user shared a post reminding the community that Bethesda Studios head honcho Todd Howard has previously confirmed on several occasions that Fallout 5 won't really begin on production in earnest until The Elder Scrolls VI has been released (which obviously hasn't happened yet).
