Alyx Jones, the founder of the development team behind indie narrative game The Quiet Things, says that she feels "silenced" after the game's launch trailer was stopped from appearing at the BAFTA Game Awards.
Last night, the BAFTA Game Awards took place and not only celebrated some of 2025's best games, but also looked to the future with new trailers and world premieres. The Quiet Things, an indie game about following "a young girl’s journey through adolescence", was meant to get a spotlight at the show that would reveal its release date, but ended up being pulled at the last minute.
As reported by Kotaku, BAFTA said that the decision to pull the launch trailer for The Quiet Things was made "in consideration of guests" due to the game containing "themes that may be a trigger for some". Alyx Jones, the founder of The Quiet Things developer Silver Script Games, has now shared a response to the trailer being pulled, saying that she feels "shut down and silenced".
