Baldur's Gate 3 has a blossoming modding scene at the moment, thanks to official tools that Larian Studios has given to modders, as well as just general support. Over one million mods were downloaded just 24 hours after mod support became available on PC, and we already have ambitious mods out there that do things like remove turn-based combat and even recreate Elden Ring's infamous Caelid area.
However, these mods have only been available to PC players, as Larian had to push back mod support on consoles to later in the year to ensure everything was hunky-dory. We know that platform holders can be picky when it comes to allowing mods on their consoles, especially PlayStation, but it seems as though any obstacles that may have been in the way have been removed.
We knew that mod support for consoles was coming in October, but Larian has announced that it's now ready to go, as Patch 7 was rolled out to both PlayStation and Xbox earlier today.
