God is a Geek

Had I played Persona 4 back when it was first released I doubt I’d have gotten into it, and it took me a while this time (it’s a good three hours or so before it really begins), but it wasn’t until I’d started to see all of the various elements and how they gel together that I started to understand why it’s such a beloved series. Am I a convert? Not yet, and I may never be, fully. But I’m glad I finally had a chance to see what everyone else has been telling me for years.

A genuine work of art, The Last of Us Part II is Naughty Dog's best game, bravest story, and proof that games can put players through the emotional wringer. A compelling yet devastating masterpiece.

Incredibly well put-together and intricately crafted by a developer at the top of their field, Desperados III is a genuine masterpiece of stealth, Stetsons, and steely-eyed heroics.

Project Warlock is a real delight; impeccably put together, looks fantastic, and feels great to play. Some niggles over high difficulty at the beginning and a clunky radial menu but retro fans will be delighted.

In an era where first person shooters continually push the envelope in terms of genre tropes, visuals and mechanics, Disintegration is a few years late and a few dollars short.

Borderlands Legendary Collection is an incredible port, suffering very little slowdown or visual impairment. If you missed this series before, now's the perfect time.

If you already own these games, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the XCOM 2 Collection, but otherwise it's worth it despite the concessions

An easy going puzzle platformer, with a dramatic and emotional story. Evan's Remains is enjoyable from start to finish, with plenty of options to skip content you're struggling with.

Although frustrating and oppressive by design, Jump King brings a level of satisfaction in victory rarely found in gaming. The varied level design and sheer amount of content within will provide hours of falling for those with the patience to continue.

Although it has issues with difficulty, REZ PLZ is a fun and interesting, co-op puzzle-platformer with a dark sense of humour.

Saints Row the Third Remastered is a massive slab of fun and depravity that will remind you why this series became GTA's most successful rival

We Were Here Together is a fun escape the room type of puzzle game with an interesting story and beautiful aesthetic and soundtrack. It's let down by some unnecessary difficulty and teething console issues with regards to controls.

The Outer Worlds on Switch is a good port of a great game. Some of the graphical fidelity is lost, but a strong art direction and excellent writing make this version worth picking up

Total Tank Simulator is a great example of a game not taking itself too seriously, and it's never less than a total blast.

An almost prohibitively complex roguelike without enough guidance for new players. If you're able to invest the time to the ins and outs of Dungeon of the Endless (or use a guide) there's so much unique strategy/tower defense gameplay to sink your teeth into.

Skelattack is an indie platformer filled with charm, thrusting you into a beautifully designed world. It's punishing and frustrating, yet it always gives you the tools to plot your success.

Pong Quest has real heart and soul, it just hasn't been properly thought through, and that's a shame, as the flimsy story is genuinely likeable

Lonely Mountains: Downhill feels very much at home on the Switch, and as such comes with our full endorsement, even if you haven't already experienced it on another format.

Oozing retro arcade cool, yet still feeling modern and unique, Armor Games Studios have absolutely delivered with Jet Lancer.

51 Worldwide Games will have something for everyone. It won't knock your socks off, but you'll have plenty of fun with the variety on offer.
