Softpedia's Reviews

Mar 14, 2016

The new Hitman carefully mixes drama, comedy, action and a well-designed location to create a world that the player will enjoy discovering and a variety of systems that are great to interact with and even break, and we can only hope that the other coming missions deliver on the promise of this first episode.

The Division is an ambitious game when it comes to the world it creates and its mechanics, for both cooperative play and Player versus Player, are solid and engaging but much of its future will depend on how Ubisoft caters to the needs of the community and to the unique ways in which players come to enjoy this beautiful and derelict world of New York.

Unscored - Crimsonland
Feb 29, 2016

Crimsonland is an old game that is dressed up with some new clothes. It's not good looking; it has no story, and it has no gimmick to make it more attractive. Even so, it's still going to get players hocked until they finish all the levels, and that is a sort of quality that is not easy to find nowadays.

7.5 / 10.0 - Soul Axiom
Feb 29, 2016

Wales Interactive clearly has great ideas, but Soul Axiom shows that the company needs to focus a little more on execution to make sure that they unlock their true potential for the public.

Hitman GO: Definitive Edition is a bold puzzle experience that takes the established franchise and simplifies its mechanics while retaining the complexity of the actual design. While its progression may not be all that great and some stages don't leave a lot of room to experiment, the mechanics are easy to comprehend, and the challenges are still satisfying.

9.5 / 10.0 - SUPERHOT
Feb 25, 2016

Playing SUPERHOT is fun even when I constantly fail because I know the game is now cheating in any way and that next time I have a chance to be more stylish, better prepared, smarter and faster to reach a new high score in Endless Mode or deal with another of the challenges.

8 / 10.0 - Ninja Senki DX
Feb 25, 2016

Ninja Senki DX features some good improvements over the already tough as nails freeware experience from several years ago. It's quite fun to experience as a newcomer, provided you sharpen your skills as fast as possible and don't lose your temper with the constant restarts, and quite challenging for veterans through the extra modes and revised elements.

9.5 / 10.0 - Obliteracers
Feb 25, 2016

Obliteracers is one of the most fun combat racing experiences I've had in years. It's hectic, fluid, a blast to play and a treat for the eyes. The fact that it can easily support unusual control inputs, as well as the online multiplayer makes it even easier to recommend.

The Flame in the Flood has a unique style, offers some great decisions and can keep a fan of the roguelike engaged for many hours, but it might need a little more refinement before it can also draw in other types of players, despite its hugely attractive art and music.

The Walking Dead: Michonne Episode 1 – In Too Deep is a solid debut of this spinoff mini-series. Michonne is a good main character and the adventures she goes through, as well as those that await her, are quite interesting. While there may not be that many changes in terms of gameplay, it's still worth it for those who've enjoyed the past experiences from Telltale.

8 / 10.0 - NeonXSZ
Feb 23, 2016

NeonXSZ is a solid experience that combines an array of good gameplay mechanics into a cohesive and addictive experience. Intense combat, lots of loot, not to mention plenty of freedom when it comes to moving around the huge battlefield make this game very easy to recommend to a lot of people. Things may seem very confusing at first, but it rewards dedication.

8 / 10.0 - Far Cry Primal
Feb 22, 2016

Far Cry Primal is a good video game that's part of an overexposed series, and it will disappoint all those who want to see something unique coming from Ubisoft, although it has plenty of great moments to offer.

7 / 10.0 - Zheros
Feb 17, 2016

Zheros is a decent experience alone but it's a bit better with a friend. The chaos you unleash is quite satisfying and racking up bigger and bigger combos does much to alleviate the repetitive gameplay. Combat variety might not delight all players, but you can still have a bit of fun with this brawler.

7 / 10.0 - Street Fighter V
Feb 16, 2016

Street Fighter V is a solid base for the new fighting experience from Capcom. Unfortunately, with the missing features and the problematic servers, it feels more like an Early Access game than a full-fledged one that's available for full price. Lots of modes, content, and goodies are promised by Capcom in the future, so, unless you really can't wait, you can pass on the game right now.
