Gravel is entertains for the most part but outside the career mode the game lacks longevity. Coupled with some odd omissions such as leaderboards it's a competent racer and not much else.

A game full of more than it's fair share of style unfortunately lacks any of it's fair share of substance. It may be worth a look if you are a long time fan of the series but there are much better examples of this style of game for everyone else.

A fantastic exercise in story telling and character driven gaming which could start a new wave of 'short' style gaming. A must play and high bar for other stories to hit for years to come.

While the game is a lot of fun, it is hard to shake the feeling that if it was a full MMO it would be better. The Co Op mode goes someway to fix this and thankfully there is plenty of content to keep fans of the genre and of the series occupied. Definitely worth playing if you want an anime inspired world to run around in for a long time.

Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Video Game is an enjoyable representation of Supercross, but doesn't quite reach its true potential.

Crossing souls is a masterpiece of both story telling and nostalgia. The gameplay is great and the game is as stylish as the eighties themselves. You will come for the nostalgia and stay for the genuinely brilliant story,

A great e-shop title whose simplicity belies the challenge that lays ahead. The diminutive soundtrack is a drawback but it really is our only major complaint.

Rise and Fall is a strong addition to the base game and helps it reach higher in the ranks of a Civ game. The new features change the way each game plays out and give some needed variety to each match in a way that is genuinely interesting and immensely satisfying,

A charming set of characters in a post apocalyptic world help to keep the player interested in this fascinating combination of action platformer and tower defence game. While the pace can feel a little off in places overall the game is a lot of fun and the splitscreen co op is a brilliant inclusion to keep you playing through,

A brilliant shoot 'em up that harks back to the good old days of video games but with a refreshing modern update. You can jump in for one run and leave five hours later because the game play is so enjoyable.

The Escapists 2 builds upon its predecessor rather impressively. While the crafting expansion can lead to confusion when trying to plot your escape. Still, it's a fantastic improvement on The Escapists and well worth your time.

Despite slightly unintuitive controls, Railway Empire offers just enough depth and detail to make it worth a play. We can't help wishing for a much more encompassing railway management sim though.

A fantastic fighting game for newcomers and fans of the genre alike, filled with knowing nods to the fans of the show. Dragon Ball FighterZ is a genuine delight to play and to watch.

Overall this is an incredible game and a must play experience. The feel of the game is pervasive and stays with you while you aren't playing it as only the best games do.

If you want a minimalist, reaction-based action game with style and a kick-ass soundtrack, go for it. If like me you equate playing a game to reading a good book, then it's definitely not for you.

If you've never played either of these titles before and a fan of the genre they're a worthy addition to your library. Otherwise there's little added to warrant a re-purchase.
