Hands down the most fun I have ever had on a base builder. Providing you with everything you expect and more to fill you up on your evil deeds. A true kudos to the original entry in the series, you will have your wicked way in no time and soon the world will truly be yours!

A rich story, perfect graphical elements, and frustratingly challenging puzzles make There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension a thoroughly worthwhile game.

Really, for anyone that managed to be around as a gamer when these two games first came round, and, like me, are starting to feel like they've been round the houses a few times already themselves, the greatest element of this HD Remaster is that you can play it outside your home ' it's magic of the purest kind that gets JRPGs of this calibre running on a handheld. We've mentioned this before, back in our Metal Gear Solid HD Collection review on Vita and once again Sony have managed to bottle lightning. Not Lightning, because that would be silly, and is probably a mini-game reserved for FFXIII-4, but close enough in terms of the enjoyment you'll get out of it. Spira is a wonderful and lively place to visit, and quite honestly you could probably get enough content out of this collection to last you the rest of the year.

Going backwards from Bloodborne feels almost archaic, and it takes some time to settle into that once familiar gameplay. However Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin offers the chance to revisit that still fantastic and familiar world with a slight twist to proceedings and a respectable face lift. The addition of the DLC makes this package more than worthwhile for any fan of From Software's catalogue, but those that already own the content on another platform may find the investment too high.

Ultimately, what we've got here is absolutely zero failure in making the ultimate version of one of the greatest fighting games known to man. This is every bit ultra street fighting and Capcom deserve all manner of goodwill for continuing to develop their stunning game for casual sofa fighters and professional contestants alike. In our opinion this provides the quality needed to ensure it remains a tournament favourite for years and it's definitely one which will stand shoulder to shoulder with Third Strike even if it's unlikely to ever eliminate it. In so doing, it remains a game for the less capable to play. It's still fun. It still guarantees joy and excitement and wow moments combined with facepalms. It's fundamentally brilliant. It shouldn't be touched again though. Let us enjoy this and hope Capcom go away now and do once again what they did here, and generate a new fighting game for the new generation of consoles.

9 / 10.0 - Bloodborne
Apr 26, 2015

It is still utterly fantastic to play. It is still one of the best action fighting mechanics in gaming. It still invokes that deadly and intense sense of failure matched with the heady highs of success that few other games (if not any entertainment) can match. It is still enriched with the uniquely mysterious touch of Miyazaki and From Software and that is all that it really needs to be.

9 / 10.0 - Evolve

From the jaws of defeat to glorious victory is an ever-swinging pendulum in Evolve; a constant back and forth filled with blood, teeth and bullets.

Life Is Strange is off to a near flawless start. Its story, characters and world are all incredibly interesting and in combination have built a fascinating plot that we can't wait to continue in the second episode. Max's time travelling ability is an innovation in the interactive story genre that allows us shape the story exactly to our liking and is a compelling plot device in itself. If Dontnod can iron out the lip-syncing problems and continue the quality of Chrysalis in future episodes, then we have something very special on our hands.

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions is a near perfect game let down only by the demanding mission padding and a soundtrack that represents a slight step backwards from its predecessors. Its very DNA has been refined to amazing clarity, from the precise controls to the neon drenched artwork. Instantly accessible to new players, it quickly compels them to become experts in order to proceed along its asymptotic learning curve. An explosive orgy of light and sound that needs to be experienced to be believed.

With Dragon Age: Inquisition, BioWare has rallied from its previous disappointments to deliver a near-flawless fantasy experience of staggering scope, mending the oft-broken hopes of a gaming nation alongside its own reputation as the foremost purveyor of adventuring. As 2014 draws to a close, Inquisition is a contender not only for game of the year, but for the best title to come out of BioWare's impressive stable - either way, it's an essential purchase for any RPG fan.

9 / 10.0 - Far Cry 4
Dec 2, 2014

It looks fantastic - the gun play, whilst different from your standard Call of Duty fare, is solid, the open world is huge, bursting with life and activities to undertake plus they've finally realised what makes Far Cry so great - freedom to blow stuff up as you please. Technically fantastic, a joy to play for the most part and an awful lot of game for your money.

The goal has been simple for Konami; make the beautiful game beautiful to play. On that score alone PES wins hands down and the gauntlet has truly been thrown down for next year's derby clash. It seems that those big signings haven't guaranteed FIFA the title.

If you are wanting to blow off some cobwebs and find an enjoyable, and reasonably deep, experience then again it is hard to not recommend this. If games like Guitar Hero were the equivalent of giving a man a fish and him eating for a day, then Rocksmith 2014 is very much teaching that man to fish.

9 / 10.0 - FIFA 15
Oct 5, 2014

EA have struck pure gold with Fifa 15, the series is back where it needs to be following the few setbacks of Fifa 14, and this year's additions have taken it to a whole new level. The improved Premier League experience and commentary gives the player a real sense of purpose and occasion as they soak up the atmosphere from the fans, and then the teams take to the pitch where Fifa 15's new dribbling system can be enjoyed to its fullest. We hope that EA brings a little customisation to the new tactics and an improved defence system with next year's iteration, but these are only minor flaws in what is an utterly fantastic game. If you like Football, you must play Fifa 15.

9 / 10.0 - Metro Redux

4A Games deliver the definitive version of two often overlooked gems with Metro Redux. Worthy of the remaster title, both games look incredible on PlayStation 4, giving those who might have missed these post-apocalyptic shooters the first time around the chance to enjoy them in spectacular HD, all for a budget price.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is the latest in a long line of historically relevant shooters. It doesn't disappoint. Everything you would want from a Wolfenstein game is here, plus more. It's a good looking, incredibly fun old-school shooter. The gameplay is furious, fun and responsive, with the characters full and engaging and B.J. himself being an absolute blast as much as he ever has been. The story is one you'll want to see to the end and have reason to keep playing. Even when you know everything the game has to offer it's nice making the Nazis go boom once more. This is the best single-player shooter on the current generation of consoles, and is more fun than much of what has come out in the past few years all told. It might not be technically the best, but it's more enjoyable than anything since Modern Warfare, or perhaps even the first time we returned to Castle Wolfenstein.

9 / 10.0 - Child of Light
Apr 27, 2014

Child of Light is a delight, one of those games that comes along with a nice budget price tag but nothing within could be considered 'budget'. Bursting at the seams with creativity, an excellent fantasy based story, silly yet entertaining script and a fine battle system make for an engaging if not truly taxing adventure. If you like a fantasy rich turn based RPG you'd be an absolute fool not to buy Child of Light.
