8 / 10 - Okami HD
Dec 21, 2017

All said and done, Okami HD is a competent remaster of a beloved classic. Hopefully we'll see Capcom revisit some of its other PS2 and GameCube era output like Viewtiful Joe and Godhand. Till then, Okami HD is well worth checking out.

With a predictable story and an in-game economy that's extortionate, we cannot recommend Star Wars Battlefront 2 to anyone at this juncture.

All in all, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch is near perfect. It might not be the best looking version of the game, but it's the most accessible, trouble-free way to enjoy this well-worn classic.

Need for Speed Payback is a decent racing game held back by a weak story, grinding, and micro-transactions. If you can live with these elements, you will have a lot of fun in this game.

A game that was either rushed out, or was never given the development time it needed. There's nothing memorable about Super Lucky's Tale, be it the fairy-tale story about talking foxes taking on varying cats, or the platforming bits that make up most of its gameplay.

There's still a lot to admire here, especially the attention to sound design – from the satisfying clink of the cuffs every time you apprehend an offender, the patter of rain on windows and the windows themselves being drawn, and the jazz offering that accompanies and soothes you as you try to put an end to gruesome happenings. One can only wonder what could have been possible with a longer development cycle, though we'll probably have to wait until WWE 2K19 to see the full impact of Visual Concepts' changes to the franchise.

9 / 10 - Cuphead

If you enjoy challenging games, you will love Cuphead. It has all the elements of a great shoot 'em up— fun music, great level design, nice collection of weapons, and a rewarding difficulty curve. Long loading times aside, Cuphead gets pretty much everything right.
