A half decent brawler brought low by numerous bugs and technical difficulties
Dog Man: Mission Impawsible is overpriced and painfully average, squandering the anarchic potential of its source material.
Enter a world of imagination with fan favourites The Rugrats.
Embark upon the dice rolling seas in this tactical RPG pirate game.
Like on the PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, I seriously enjoyed my time (and still am) in the world of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and it is easily in my top three games of 2024. BioWare has done a wonderful job at revisiting this franchise from its engaging narrative, realistic characters and gameplay that takes RPG to a whole new realm. Best of all, it works extremely well on the Steam Deck with its next-gen graphics and superb audio.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, is another Call of Duty game. It's everything you've come to expect from one at this point. A solid, if underwhelming single-player campaign that doesn't push the bar in any way but doesn't have any real major faults either. Tacked onto a live-service multiplayer experience that is more or less the same as its predecessors.
The effortless and straightforward amusement that Dog Man: Mission Impawsible provides is greatly appreciated. While the game gets more demanding with having to pull off trickier and tighter jumps or having to use a bit more brain power on how to unlock a door, I never got tired of playing. The smart layout of the stages blend expertly with the characters movesets and powers making a perfectly well balanced and enjoyable game for all audiences. The fine quality of the games graphics and audio will keep you engaged and involved with the gameplay. Whether you are a fan of Dog Man or not, you will have a ball playing Dog Man: Mission Impawsible.
The Thaumaturge feels poetic. There is something about it that just feels confident and purposefully precise. It feels like there was a true passion and drive that is effortlessly showcased through the sophisticated story and gameplay elements. The concept of relying on others misfortunes, downfalls, misery, trauma, tragedies, and impurities to get what you want during this historical tension with Russian rule is captivating to say the least. The combat has a lot of neat ideas that prioritizes strategizing, but it feels like there are too many eggs in one basket and the many choices almost undermine the system to begin with, making fighting a bit humdrum. Some hiccups with the graphics don't deter you away from great aspects of the game like the attractive environments, mesmerizing soundtrack, and gripping decision making. The Thaumaturge is an easy recommendation for anyone looking for an intriguing story with intricate and entertaining gameplay.
World of Goo 2 is what nobody expected, but everyone needed. And no, it's not (just) a matter of nostalgia: gameplay proves extremely satisfying, puzzles are diverse and well thought out; visuals please the eye. On the other hand, the Switch version has slight control issues; also, the title's difficulty seems unbalanced. This, however, doesn't change the fact that the sequel does deserve much love. And now we want the third part. Sooner rather than later.
PowerWash Simulator is a relaxing game that combines gaming with mindfulness. I didn't expect to enjoy this game as much as I did, but it is a very soothing experience that can be played for short or long bursts, especially if you just want to chill.
Stray is able to pull some innovative ideas in neat ways. It is creative in how you can run around these levels and interact with your environment. There does seem to be some curing factor in just roaming the world as a cat. Inadequate challenge and reward mixed with the limitations of the hardware may sour your experience, but the attention to detail, fun designs, interesting narrative, and fantastic music lighten these burdens. Save the future by protecting the past in this pawsome tail of a time!
Forgotten but Unbroken is an amazing turn based strategy game, with unrivaled WW2 realism
Another solid PSVR2 title and a fine addition to the Metro series.
A marvellous mind bending murder mystery that puts your deductive reasoning skills to the test.
Squingle is an excellent VR game that is great for VR experts, amateurs, or dabblers. It provides an exciting challenge and the core design of the game is entertaining. The multiple options the game has is a huge plus in providing comfort and connectivity with the player. Playing can get tiresome at points with the difficulty of the gameplay mixed with the style of the levels, causing unnecessary issues, but the mechanics are very enjoyable and the game makes it satisfying when completing your objective. Squingle is a must play VR experience and is the epitome of design in how to create a fully immersive VR game.
MechWarroir 5: Clans, is not a groundbreaking release, but instant action, lots of weapons and explosions are guaranteed.
Is Planet Coaster 2 going to replace the original as my go-to park builder just yet? No, but it almost definitely will in the future. It’s early days, and to discredit the work that Frontier has put into Planet Coaster 2 would do them a huge disservice – there simply aren’t any other studios out there that push out such quality games. It’s still a way off becoming the ultimate theme park builder, but if other Frontier titles are to go by, give it a little time (and a little polish) and Planet Coaster 2 will undoubtedly be the sandbox my dreams.
Although there is a little bit of grinding and the graphics can appear simple at times, there is enough content to motivate them and more importantly find enjoyment as they explore Singapore in order to stop the mayhem.
An original and compelling experience. No other game gives you so much excitement when opening the door.
The documentary footage is very interesting and if you think of the game as being kind of an interactive documentary/museum display that might be the best way to look at it. If you are looking at the collection as a way to collect all the variations of Tetris that have been released then you will be disappointed. It is a pretty hefty price for the somewhat limited number of Tetris games available (I mean there are a few here… but the difference between them is not huge and there are some stand out titles missing)… so perhaps wait for a sale? Good to grab for the history of Tetris and if you are happy to have a playable documentary then you should be happy.
