Given the lack of rally games on the PlayStation 4, WRC 5 definitely fills this gap but is hampered by its dated appearance on this next-gen console. This is not to say that WRC 5 is a bad game but when compared to other titles of this genre, it's definitely on the other end of the spectrum.

4.5 / 5.0 - Halo 5: Guardians

In the end, Halo 5 Guardians is a great start on the Xbox One that boasts decent gameplay, amazing graphics and audio to really immerse you into this futuristic warzone.

4.5 / 5.0 - Guitar Hero Live
Nov 1, 2015

It's good to have this franchise back and Guitar Hero Live successfully tweaks the gameplay by giving gamers a more fulfilling experience that is closer to playing a real guitar then the previous last-gen console versions. More importantly, the guitar works well and if you're familiar with the previous game, you will need to re-learn the mechanics again but once you put the time and effort into this, you'll soon become a rock god. The only slight gripe I have with this release is the campaign mode is a little cheesy but thankfully the streaming "TV" mode which boasts some awesome music plus video clips really puts some unpredictability into the game and more than makes up for this clichéd oversight.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a fun journey into Victorian London that boasts some likeable characters set in the turbulent world of the Assassin's and the Templars. The developers also give players two very likeable protagonists who both seem quite down to Earth and generally want the best for their city. Add in a climatic boss battle and Syndicate is definitely the game to come back to if you thought the previous game had its flaws. Overall, Assassin's Creed Syndicate hits the mark and gives the player a great story from start to finish.

3.4 / 5.0 - Tales of Zestiria
Oct 26, 2015

Tales of Zestiria is not bad nor is it broken but it does not offer the wonder that I once found in JRPGs. Perhaps it is like a relationship grown too far apart; we no longer work together but neither knows how to end what has become comfortable, if rote. Maybe something will rekindle the spark, but it's not Tales of Zestiria. It's not you, it's me. Sorry.

It's too early to call at the moment, but Minecraft: Story Mode looks set to be shaping up to be another fine effort from the folks at Telltale Games. Combining their narrative excellence with the insanely popular Minecraft franchise has created a unique beast all of its own that takes the best elements from both parties in order to create an engaging and, above all, fun playing experience.

Overall if you've enjoyed the Might and Magic Heroes games before then you won't be disappointed, if you've only tried Kings Bounty before then I'd suggest jumping into Heroes VII it will seem familiar but also a little more "real" in style.

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer will appeal those love decorating homes and collecting Nintendo's new amiibo cards, but for the rest of us, it's a broken home.

In short, Samurai Warriors 4-II is another game in the series that will be lots of fun if you like fighting massive mobs with a cast of different characters including some of your own custom characters.  It can be a lot of fun slashing through armies and feeling like a powerful warrior while taking part in a historical period of Japanese history.

In the end, The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Hearts of Stone is a fun DLC for this series that gives the player a much more grounded approach to our hero Geralt but with all the great elements of the main game that we all love and at times hate. Yes, the graphics do glitch here and there but the story, characterisation and combat is what makes Witcher so entertaining and Hearts of Stone is no exception to that rule.

4 / 5.0 - Blood Bowl II
Oct 14, 2015

This inspired pairing of the Warhammer universe with American Football works surprisingly well, although it has to be said that fans of more straightforward sporting sims may not take to the game as well as those who prefer tactical, turn based titles, as Blood Bowl 2 definitely leans towards the latter.

4 / 5.0 - FIFA 16
Oct 12, 2015

With EA reworking much of FIFA's gameplay and mechanics, there are going to be FIFA fans who will struggle initially when playing the game. Personally, I welcome the change in mechanics. I haven't struggled with the game, though the legendary setting is slightly more challenging than it was in FIFA 15. Overall FIFA 16 is a very good game, and an improvement on last year's offering.

PES 2016 gives players a great choice besides FIFA and if you're a fan of one series or another, migrating to another game can be difficult. Konami have also listened tot he players and PES 2016 is definitely one of the most all-rounded soccer games from their franchise that successfully tweaks the gameplay to create a great next-gen experience on the PlayStation 4.

While there's a few repetitive fetch quests, the crafting system and puzzle-solving make for some solid gameplay – if you have patience, love zombies and The Walking Dead and survival-crafting, check it out.

I really enjoyed re-visiting this franchise again and even though the first game is starting to look a little dated, the other two sequels are far superior and not only play but look great on the PlayStation 4. Add in professional voice acting and a killer soundtrack and Uncharted the Nathan Drake is great value for money that allows gamers to experience the franchise again or for newcomers to see what all the fuss was about.

4.2 / 5.0 - Penarium
Sep 26, 2015

If you have a heart condition or easily have bouts of rage, then you might want to get your gaming enjoyment elsewhere because Penarium can be very tough. Even so, Penarium is a very well designed game that successfully ticks all the right boxes for an enjoyable arcade experience with lots of twists and turns for the player to successfully immerse you into this crazy psycho circus.
