The Plucky Squire is an incredible action-adventure game combining 2D and 3D, but needs just a little more shine.

7 / 10.0 - Frostpunk 2
Sep 17, 2024

Frostpunk 2 takes everything that made the first game challenging and scales it up. Bigger cities, more mechanics, and larger expansions will push a player's ability to balance so many resources and the consequences of their own actions. Overcoming these will reward you with an immense sense of pride.

The Jackbox Naughty Pack contains three R-rated party games to share with the closest members of your groupchat. Fakin' It is a standout success if you're wanting to learn that much more about your friends, otherwise Dirty Drawful and Let Me Finish are great ways to share some crude chuckles with friends.

8 / 10.0 - WHAT THE CAR?
Sep 6, 2024

If we’re measuring the success of What the Car? by laughs per minute, it’s a pretty sweet ride. The overworld eventually wears out its welcome, and some of the harder levels feel a little too frustrating for a comedy game. However, as an overall lighthearted experience, this game kicks it into high gear.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is exactly what you think it is: another (rather fun) Space Marine game, albeit one with clunky new mechanics and a pretty forgettable story.

7 / 10.0 - Gundam Breaker 4

Gundam Breaker 4 isn't the deepest game when it comes to the narrative or continued gameplay, but the sheer amount of collectibles and customization is a fine achievement.

8.5 / 10.0 - Castaway
Aug 16, 2024

Castaway doesn't reinvent the wheel, nor does it intend to. What Canari Games set out to do is to create a rock solid, short-but-sweet experience, and this endearing adventure game achieves just that.

8.5 / 10.0 - Creatures of Ava
Aug 5, 2024

Creatures of Ava is a wonderful adventure that wraps together an interesting story about humankind's view of nature, exploration of a beautiful alien world, and interesting creature taming mechanics. While I'd wish to continue exploring this game a major detriment is how you get locked out of half the game as you play through it.

6.5 / 10.0 - SteamWorld Heist II
Aug 1, 2024

Despite SteamWorld Heist II's shortcomings, it's a fun and polished game. It does, however, suffer from repetition and lack of depth, so it feels like you've seen it all it has to offer after a few hours.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter isn't a good game, nor is it necessarily bad, but its age shows as you play through its campaign. Not only that, but the port quality and terrible camera controls leave a lot to be desired.
