Overall I enjoyed my time with Deemo. The story is heartbreaking, the art is interesting, and the music is outstanding. Personally I'd recommend giving the game a shot on the phone, and if you find yourself hooked, invest. Don't expect much new in the field of rhythm gaming from Deemo, but it's fun and familiar, and a good little time waster. If nothing else, watch the cut scenes if you can and enjoy the story.

If you're looking for a new experience and you're a hardcore fan of the rhythm genre I say give it a shot.  If you're looking for a true RPG experience or a deep challenging rhythm game, search elsewhere.

7.5 / 10.0 - Just Dance 2018
Nov 2, 2017

The Just Dance series had its shine all this time, but to continue doing so it must reinvent itself if it wants to evolve again, even if that means structural changes that surely will bring controversy and risks.

7.5 / 10.0 - Patapon Remastered
Nov 10, 2017

Patapon Remastered is a great and addicting gameplay experience. The rewarding boss fights make up for some of the weaker levels and the sound and visuals fully cement Patapon as a great remaster. However, the bad first impression, occasional difficulty spike and lack of instructions hold it back from being outstanding.

6.5 / 10.0 - Super Beat Sports
Nov 28, 2017

Super Beat Sports is for sure an homage to Rhythm Heaven but without the amount of variety a game like this should hold for a new console. With a non-memorable soundtrack and repetition of stages with new color schemes is a lazy cop out for trying to add new flavor.

6 / 10.0 - Invector
Jan 15, 2018

Invector tries to copy the best, and only manages to be a pale imitator. The only real highlight is the Avicii soundtrack, and even that gets old very, very fast. The end result is more confusing than fun, and neither the gameplay nor the music are strong enough to make it worth enduring at length.

9 / 10.0 - DJMAX RESPECT
Mar 8, 2018

DJ MAX Respect is nothing short of bliss for series fans old and new. A gorgeous interface, a massive selection of classic tracks with inspired new music, and enough content to keep players busy for untold hours. Apart from minor graphical nitpicks, DJ MAX's Respect biggest flaw is that it could make the PSP versions feel obsolete by comparison.

8 / 10.0 - Octahedron

Octahedron is a flashy, but difficult platformer that appeals to casual platforming fans in addition to completionists.

Eat Beat Dead Spike San is an average mobile game of average value that lacks the genre variety and polish of similar games on the eShop. BlazBlue fans may appreciate the game more than average and hardcore players. A few hours of Eat Beat Dead Spike-san is more than enough to fill the stomach full of rock candy.

8 / 10.0 - Floor Kids
May 16, 2018

Floor Kids is a solid, unorthodox rhythm action game with a lot of style and soul. Though easy and a tad short, there's a lot of room for Hololabs to flesh out the game. Until then, I’ll just keep tapping my foot and clapping my hands.

6 / 10.0 - Runner3
May 23, 2018

RUNNER3 is a remarkable aspiration. The game wants to be fluid, colorful, charming, and accessible, but fails to achieve these goals. RUNNER3’s gameplay is a true test of patience and persistence. For those who can bear it, the game is rewarding, but for those looking for a fun romp, they might want to look elsewhere.

Just Shapes & Beats shapes up to be a perfect party music game for the Switch. It may be short, and not the best solo experience, but it’s still a fun ride with plenty of replay value.

10 / 10.0 - Lumines Remastered
Jun 26, 2018

Lumines Remastered polishes the original game to a shine, and welcomes a whole new generation to the puzzle party. It can be tough to master, but at a value price, it’s worth getting lost in the music and blocks all over again.

7.5 / 10.0 - Groove Coaster
Jul 10, 2018

Groove Coaster is a lot of fun, but the Steam version's song list lacks the massive variety and replay value seen in the arcade or even the mobile versions. The core game is still an enjoyable experience, but until all the DLC is out, enjoying Groove Coaster to the fullest could be a very costly endeavor.

9 / 10.0 - Wandersong
Aug 27, 2018

The game doesn't hold the player's hand through every step of the way, yet, still many of the mechanics are generous to the point where a very wide range of players will find Wandersong accessible and fun. This is a great game that was hard for me to put down and shouldn't have troubles finding a dedicated playerbase.

8 / 10.0 - Just Dance 2019
Nov 12, 2018

Just Dance is a very creative game, and a lot of fun, but to get the most out of it, you'll need to open your wallet for the Unlimited Experience, and put in a lot of practice. If you can put in the patience and the money, Just Dance has the style to make it worth your while.
