I would suggest keeping your expectations low and your mind open when trying out Korgan.
While it shows some of its mobile roots, Manticore: Galaxy on Fire makes for a pretty fun flight combat game on the Switch.
If there's one word to describe Earthlock, it'd have to be "charming". The characters are likeable, the world is well designed and there are plenty of interesting things to do or discover.
DragoDino is a mostly solid platforming experience that was most enjoyable in short bursts, ala one level a night.
The amount of longevity one will get from Bombslinger depends on two factors: your skill level and access to local co-op players.
The Episodes start to feel shorter and shorter each time, but at least this one took us to an interesting location and gave us interesting choices to make.
The actual giant ogre-slaying gameplay is a lot of fun, but it's not enough to carry an entire game on its shoulders. Repetitive gameplay and a boring story keep the game from being any fun beyond the first few hours.
I can't recommend MX vs ATV at any cost, instead put that money towards MXGP 3 or save for the upcoming MXGPro.
While Dangun Feveron might not be stuffed with content, it does have some fun and solid shmup action in a bite-sized form.
Assassin's Creed Origins takes the series in a new direction with more RPG elements and it's better for it. The game has a huge map with an incredible density of things to do which will keep you busy for well over 100 hours. It looks amazing and especially those playing on an Xbox One X hooked up to a 4K/HDR TV will not believe their eyes at how simply gorgeous it is. The production quality here is off the charts and I can't help but look forward to where the series might be headed next. But for now? I'll gladly dive back in for a NewGame+
Metropolis is a fine game for its low asking price. I found myself enjoying it more than I expected to, replaying it each time with a completely different set of abilities and genuinely curious about the ending I'd be getting. The battles themselves were quick and entertaining and the comic-book style is lovely to look at. Despite its small flaws, it's definitely worth checking out.
Epistory is an unexpected indie gem.
While I can see some gamers getting frustrated when the difficulty first spikes, those who stick with it will be rewarded with dynamic gameplay and visual and auditory delights.
Spiral Splatter is a puzzle game with a simple concept: you control a white orb and guide it towards the goal. It starts off easy enough but soon tests your accuracy, dexterity and above all: endurance.
One Eyed Kutkh is incredibly short and an experience worth forgetting.
Moss is one of the best reasons yet to buy a PlayStation VR and, if you already own one, you owe it to yourself to add the book of Moss to your library.
NORTH is more of an interactive art-school short movie than a true game. It has very little story to tell and the visuals are often subpar. Luckily the audio is a redeeming factor and since it's so very, very short you won't have to spend too much time playing it.
It's been a blast revisiting this lovely world and I can't wait for Playful Corp to drop more add-on content for it.
While ultimately the switching mechanic is just a clever disguise for double jumps, I enjoyed Switch or Die Trying.
What you have here is a quality survival experience, but those looking for tactical espionage operations might want to keep looking.
