While the first few weeks were rough seas, the now smooth online experience will hold nothing in store for you but more laughs than a barrel of bananas.

7 / 10.0 - Subaeria
May 21, 2018

Subaeria is a unique and fun top-down rogue-like title that strays away from traditional conventions in the genre in mostly successful ways. The lack of content and repetitive game design may hinder the replayability, but the time you do put into Subaeria will most likely be rewarding.

5 / 10.0 - SURVIVE! MR.CUBE
May 21, 2018

Survive! Mr. Cube is a cute, simple rogue-lite that's safe for the whole family. The variety of weaponry and enemies keeps things interesting. Unfortunately, you can finish every task the game has to offer in only a couple of hours and there isn't much to do long-term.

Horizon Chase Turbo takes all the best aspects of classic arcade racing titles and modernizes them successfully, providing a fun and enjoyable racer. The presentation and lack of game modes can make the racing overly repetitive, but the time spent is well worth the investment, even if only a couple hours.

9.5 / 10.0 - God of War
May 18, 2018

God of War has one of the greatest stories ever told in a video game, filled with moments that will never be forgotten. This is a "mic drop" that creates a high standard for future releases.

7.5 / 10.0 - Solo
May 16, 2018

Solo is not only a work of art but a labor of love. Team Gotham certainly poured out their hearts into this game, and it shows. The visuals are amazing and the music hits all the right notes (pun intended). The game invites the player to reflect on their beliefs on the nature and importance of romantic love. Unfortunately, the game is not flawless, with missteps in the controls and in some heavy-handed philosophical conclusions. Nevertheless, Solo is an overall great gaming experience.

7.5 / 10.0 - Wizard of Legend

Easy to access, difficult to master, if the difficulty curve is not a deterrent, the persistent will find some fun to be had with Wizard of Legend.

7 / 10.0 - The Station
May 14, 2018

It is a fun alternative to kill time or to space out your other primary games, but it may not be the one that make you super excited.

Die-hard turn-based game fans can find a rewarding experience if they are willing to put in the time and effort to learn the mechanics of Battle Fleet: Ground Assault. Casual gamers will find the learning curve daunting, especially given the lack of a tutorial. The game has a lot of unrealized potential, but in its current state, it is hard to recommend to a general audience.

If you can get past the crudeness and off color humor, you will find a solid and silly simulation game. You just need to make sure your living space has enough room to play.

HYPERNOVA is a game with charm and style, while still presenting solid, strategic tower defense gameplay. While it might not provide a varied experience, it knows what it wants to do and does it well.

4.5 / 10.0 - Hollow
May 8, 2018

Hollow is, well, a hollow experience. A great atmopshere can't save the poor performance issues, lackluster combat, and tedious exploration.

7 / 10.0 - Null Vector

If Null Vector's purpose is to appeal to those who hold nostalgia in high regard, then I would consider this retro shooter a positive outcome.

8.5 / 10.0 - Owlboy
May 1, 2018

Owlboy is a stunning retro metroidvania title that is a joy to play and get lost in. If you have to play one retro title this year other than Celeste, do yourself a favor and pick up Owlboy for console or PC.

4 / 10.0 - Deployment
Apr 30, 2018

Deployment is unique in that it blends arcade style shooters with competitive elements. Procedurally generated levels and power ups are a fun addition to the action as well. Unfortunately, there was no online community to be found when this game was deployed onto Steam.

3.5 / 10.0 - BattleTech
Apr 26, 2018

This game is fun, but broken. Due to it's current state I can sadly offer no better score. Would love to revisit in the future to hopefully update on its progress.

7.5 / 10.0 - Sprint Vector
Apr 25, 2018

Sprint Vector is the newest VR sport title to be released and manages be fun to play while also providing a great workout for those who care. Some design flaws—including occasionally clipping into the environments and the MOVE controllers not performing intended motions—hinder the experience. Nevertheless, the core mechanics of Sprint Vector are done surprisingly well and is absolutely an experience you should try if you have access to VR.
