While this may be welcomed by players looking for a less intense experience, Yaga doesn't fulfill all its potential due to an exploration that feels too linear and a combat system that remains shallow. Its luck system also needs an improvement and the HD Rumble feature is not properly implemented, which end up harming what the Yaga experience could have been.

Reventure is a fun and simple adventure which might seem too much of a cliché at first but which includes some very creative and interesting game mechanics, not to mention many, many different endings. The game is also rich in humour and fits the handheld format of the Nintendo Switch just perfectly. Those looking for lush environments might feel disappointed, as visual simplicity reigns in Reventure.

Polyroll does not redefine the 2D platforming genre but there's nothing wrong with this simple game with clear inspirations in some of the genre's classics. While its gameplay doesn't always feel right and the adventure is rather short-lived, Polyroll is sold at a friendly price and features a decent amount of creative, challenging bosses. In the end, it's not a groundbreaking game but big fans of retro-style indie platformers have something to enjoy in Polyroll.

Tokyo Dark Remembrance doesn't get everything right. For a visual novel with point and click adventure elements, its game design and the way it flows puts a lot of limits on the player's options and its art style seems somehow mismatched from its well written plot and involving soundtrack. Nonetheless, the game has a lot of potential and very good ideas, it could have simply benefited from a better execution and design.

Into the Dead 2 is an endless runner originating in the mobile gaming segment and for that, it does a decent job with its apocalyptic atmosphere and fun gameplay mechanics. If only it had been properly adapted for the Nintendo Switch, however, then perhaps the game would be something more worthy of the console's catalogue, rather than a visually enhanced version of a short experience for mobile devices. As such, it's also impossible to justify its selling price when the original version is free.

Thanks to its quality plot and presentation and to the weight of the actions that the players' role commits them to, We. The Revolution knows how to engage and the experience would be even more enjoyable were it not for some adaptation issues related to control problems and the small size of the text on the Nintendo Switch screen.

Just Dance 2020 does not differ from other games in the series in the sense that it's fun, enjoyable and has enough content and music for many intense moments. At the same time, Just Dance 2020 is too similar to its immediate predecessors to stand out and beyond a small number of new elements, there are not too many reasons to purchase this latest edition of the Just Dance series for those who own the last titles released on the Nintendo Switch.

YIIK: A Postmodern RPG is certainly full of good intentions and it promises a lot in what it could turn out to be...nevertheless, intentions alone don't make a masterpiece and while its 1990s-tinged environment, its attempts at an innovative fighting system and a few of its musical tracks are certainly worthy of praise, the game drags itself for too long, feels frustrating and confusing too often and the experience is just too inconsistent for its own good. Something which could have turned out much better and whose potential can still be harnessed for something remarkable.

Seal the Deal is a DLC for A Hat in Time that feels too short for it to be a major contribution to the game. Seal the Deal also allows for a higher difficulty setting which can become too frustrating for many players. Nevertheless, given the nature of this DLC and the way that it is presented more like a gift to owners of A Hat in Time for Nintendo Switch, then Seal the Deal can act as an enjoyable, if limited, contribution.

Valfaris is an action-packed platformer rich in absurd moments but with a very high difficulty level that will make players frantically hit their controllers in order to advance. Although not the most fluid of experiences, its exquisite visual environment, metal-laden soundtrack and variety of weapons and attacks make Valfaris a fun, violent and chaotic game that is nothing but enjoyable by heavy metal, sci-fi and action fans.

This might not be a roller coaster ride from the very beginning but once a rather cumbersome beginning is done with, every Star Wars fan will be mired in a universe of light saber duels, the Force and a majestic John Williams soundtrack. A very welcome conversion that brings an old classic to the current Nintendo Switch catalogue.

Accessible and with a very well crafted plot, Raging Loop feels a bit disappointing regarding the art style of its settings and some of the endings are inconsequential but the overall result is an experience that is welcoming for both fans of visual novels and for beginners.

Disgaea 4 Complete+ claims to be the ultimate version of the fourth chapter of the series and this is indeed an amazingly fun game with an immense amount of content for unblocking and exploring. With plenty of possibilities and nearly endless growth for the characters, this version might not feature the best written plot ever in the history of RPGs but it's one outstanding work which will absolutely keep players entertained.

Warlock's Tower is a simple-looking but challenge-packed puzzle game that will easily attract players with its level design and fine tuned difficulty. The game will quickly welcome players into its mechanics and even if it's not the most original puzzle game ever made, there's enough here to keep the player with the eyes locked on the Nintendo Switch.

If the art style and graphic execution are superb, its soundtrack fits the environment perfectly and the plot is carefully crafted, the gameplay experience falls short of expectations and as an RPG, it feels like a rather banal effort. While certainly not a bad game, Vambrance: Cold Soul gives the impression that it could be much more but instead, it doesn't leave the territory of an average experience, without any gameplay elements that would make it stand out.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 lands on the Nintendo Switch in what is one remarkable adaptation of this colossal RPG. Thanks to its in-depth gameplay experience, an involving, well-written plot and the immense freedom given to the player for exploring, Divinity: Original Sin II is one outstanding game that will require a lot of dedication from the players but which will undoubtedly reward them in every way.

The Bradwell Conspiracy is a game that may feature some interesting puzzles and well executed dialogues but unfortunately, it must be said that performance problems and mostly, an unintuitive and constricting gameplay end up harming the experience and many players will feel like there are very few incentives to invest time and energy into this work.

Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and The Millionaires' Conspiracy – Deluxe Edition brings less to the Nintendo Switch than the length of its name might suggest. As a remaster of a previously released game, the biggest differences lie in the audiovisual element, but there are new puzzles featured in this version. It's not a very demanding game and doesn't overtake the most significant games in the Layton series but this is a charming and welcoming introduction for those who have never explored the world of these adventure & detective games.

Vampyr puts the player at the centre of a very well written plot where many sub-plots intertwine, with the player's actions seriously affecting the narrative developments that follow. This alone is very much worthy of praise, but the game's gothic atmosphere is outstanding. Vampyr's rather long loading times and occasional unstable performance can feel frustrating at times but the game undoubtedly brings an added value to Nintendo Switch owners.

The Banner Saga 3 brings with it an exquisite plot and a series of different outcomes that depend on the player's choices but while the game is very strong on the story component, its combat system is rather simple and there's few significant improvements that make this a groundbreaking game. Overall, it's an experience that will be enjoyed at a much greater level by longtime fans of this saga than by beginners.
