Cute Things Dying Violently is a game that takes children's TV levels of cute and adds cartoon blood in an attempt to give it something extra to hide the fact that it is in essence a cross between Angry Birds and Lemmings. It misses the mark by such a wide margin that it boggles the mind.

This shmup is slick and pretty. A job well done.

PES is the ultimate football game for players. Fans may be scorned by license woes, but if you want to play a high quality football game that looks and plays just like the real thing than look no further.

6.5 / 10.0 - Train Valley
Oct 7, 2015

Don't get me wrong, this is a fine, challenging little game, but I emphasise 'little'. This kind of game seems to befit the phone a tad more. Still, what we have here is good – up until you crash trains, that is...

5 / 10.0 - Blood Bowl II
Oct 2, 2015

Technically superior, but with a shallow roster the latest Blood Bowl adaptation falls short of a touchdown.

A well made, if a little brief, third game in the Trine series, and hopefully not the last.

It's a very fun and varied game, but it does have its issues. So long as you're looking for an open world that doesn't demand you treat it seriously, there is something here for everyone.

A fun adventure that takes a while to get going but when it does, Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse becomes a thrilling adventure hindered by its beginning.

8.5 / 10.0 - ZOMBI
Sep 23, 2015

All in all, Zombi is a game that is much welcomed in the new platforms. It opens up a large space for a new audience barely compromising on features. It is a game where every aspect of it is very good, albeit never extraordinary. It's a very enjoyable game, but the combination of design choices make it feel both unique and strange.

7.5 / 10.0 - Mad Max
Sep 22, 2015

Mad Max is a delight to play and will have you chant "what a lovely day!" across the fury road, but once the dust settles, you'll find deep down a hollow and dull open-world, with a somewhat mediocre and grindy core design doing nothing original. It's only redeemed by its vast sandstorm swept visuals and well executed vehicular combat.

A huge game that's fun to play, but far too dense with the source material for those unfamiliar to enjoy. Go watch the anime, then buy this!

Amazing game with a questionable ending, While its worth ones time and money, the story might not be meant for everyone.

A visually pleasing puzzler that challenges your brain and shows a real sense of intelligent design in its UI and sound. Buy it.

7 / 10.0 - Zenzizenzic

If you're a fan of the psychedelic, or if you like your games throwing more shapes and enemies at you than you can shake a stick at, then Zenzizenzic is for you.

Episode 5 arrives with such promise, yet withers a little when the game is forced to try and weave a conducive storyline out of your choices. Inevitably, as a player, you lose out on what could have been a satisfyingly unique experience.

Airscape is ok. It's a decent way to spend a few hours but, among an incredibly competitive bank of excellent 2D platformers, it fails to stand out.

There are few children games with such an iconic underlying semiology, or with more unsettling line dialogues. However, this new version doesn't hold up, at least for being a remastering ten years later. There are a few improvements, but they are a let-down, far from what many probably expected.

8 / 10.0 - Party Hard
Sep 9, 2015

Has a high replay factor and a high fun factor, but it's short length is a little disappointing. It's a fun ride while it lasts and the promise of frequent free future content is a definite bonus.

Overall, No Time To Explain is one of those games you can pick up for a couple of minutes or play for hours. It's a great way to kill some time and if you like platformers I can definitely recommend it.

7 / 10.0 - Until Dawn
Sep 7, 2015

Until Dawn is an excellent addition to any horror fan's PlayStation 4 collection, even if borrowed or rented, you'll still be satisfied with a single 9-10 hour playthrough, but the seeming unending paths towards terror, gore, death and salvation will keep you coming back to see if you can survive another night until dawn.
