Planet Alpha is a colorful, charming and relaxing puzzle/platformer adventure that feels right at home on the Nintendo Switch. Playing for short burst or diving in for an hour or more at a time, as you explore each area at your own pace, or trying to stay undetected so that you don't alert any hostiles near you. It's got some clever puzzles to solve, a great look and a relaxing soundtrack. What's not to like?

Overall is Sigi – A Fart for Melusina a good game, well that's debatable. It's easy with some tougher bosses and can be completed quickly. That being said $5 on the eShop, so that does dictate what you are getting. If you are looking for a Ghosts 'n Goblins like (although way less difficult), then this could be worth your $5.

Unravel Two is a charming, great looking and fun 2D platformer on PlayStation 4 that improves on what its prequel did, giving us a better experience that introduces new elements into the mix to give us a more dynamic game. The available co-op mode, where someone can join at any time during your run with the game, is certainly a welcome addition, and a great way for friends or family members to join you on this adventure. Be sure to check out Unravel Two today!

Super Skull Smash GO! 2 Turbo is a fun old-school infused platformer that feels like a game from an age long gone, with the refinements you'd expect to find in a minimalist indie platformer from the 21st century. The challenge increases at a steady pace, and by the time you reach the final boss, you'll be ready to take the crown away from the king.

Overall, it's hard to recommend Cruz Brothers. The game is bad, and feels rushed and lacking the polish you'd expect from a game on PlayStation 4. There's a lot of extra work that DFC Studios should have done for the game so that it could be balanced, playable and fun. The voice acting is also terrible and hurts the experience, and I was tempted to play the game without any sound. Avoid this one!

Airheart: Tales of Broken Wings is a great looking and fun PlayStation 4 game with an interesting premise and setting that will certainly grab your attention. The roguelike with permadeath elements are certainly not for everyone, but if you give this game a chance, I'm sure you'll find a game with a solid gameplay loop that can become very addictive. The game does not have a full trophy list with a Platinum, but it does have one trophy in particular that asks that you craft every weapon in the game, so I'm sure you'll be very busy working on that one for a while!

While Detective Gallo does have some noire themes, it's a light-hearted and colorful point and click adventure release. The game is entertaining and is of a reasonable length, since you'll be spending around 5-6 hours playing this adventure from start to finish.

Cubikolor is a fun and colorful puzzle game on Nintendo Switch that will prove to be a challenge for even the most skilled of puzzle funs. The 150 levels on offer will slowly but surely ramp up the difficulty as you progress through this colorful and minimalist puzzler. Do you have what it takes to beat every stage with a Gold medal?

State of Anarchy: Master of Mayhem is a fun arcade-style release with more than enough variety to keep you entertained from start to finish. The gameplay cycle might be a bit repetitive for some, but the change from on-foot missions to driving a car to chase a UFO to the rest of the stuff you do before defeating a boss and carrying on keeps you busy at a steady pace. How your main weapon and your special weapon also change as you progress will force you to rethink your strategy, and when you get to the end, you might want to do it all over again in Hard mode where the challenge ramps up considerably.

If you're looking for a fun arcade-style 2D platforming game and are a fan of the classic Bubble Bobble, then you should certainly give Robbotto a try. The minimalist but charming look, its chiptune soundtrack, enemy and boss variety and the dozens of levels to offer, not to mention a challenging Boss Rush Mode, and its local co-op option, make this a fun game to play on Nintendo Switch.

We both had fun with SNK HEROINES ~Tag Team Frenzy~ and its simplified set up for special moves, and we did also like how the health bar and the special moves bar are directly related, affecting how much energy you have for special moves as you receive more damage. But we both feel that the costumes for the all-female cast and how they're presented is a bit too heavy on the fan service. But if that's something that doesn't bother you and you want to try a fighting game that does a handful of things differently to stand out in its genre, then you can certainly check this one out!

I was definitely looking forward to playing Overcooked! 2 on Nintendo Switch, and I'm happy to report that the game did not disappoint. The fast-paced action, the crazy kitchens that change as you go, the new recipes that have you dashing all over the place for the right ingredients, being able to throw said ingredients to maximize the short windows you have for completing each order, playing at home or on the go, and being able to take things online… it all comes together to give us one of the console's must-have party games.

Other than a couple of chapters where loading times went up close to a minute before the next chapter would begin, I enjoyed my time with 1979 Revolution: Black Friday.

I loved Crossing Souls as it was a gateway back to the movies, cartoons, and games of my childhood. It doesn't stop at Nostalgia though, the game has some fun mechanics and interesting puzzles built into it as well. There are some really satisfying boss levels and some really cool retro game throwback levels.

70% - I, Zombie
Aug 27, 2018

I, Zombie is a fun arcade-style release with some light RTS elements thrown in for goof measure that offers a solid 30 stages from the development team that you should be able to complete in less than an hour at most, with perhaps an extra 20-30 minutes if you need to replay some of the tricky stages as you try to get a better overall time or a three star rating.

Three Fourths Home: Extended Edition is a good game you should check out on Nintendo Switch. The story alone is worth the price of admission, but this being a straight-up visual novel minimalist release might make it so that some of you end up skipping it, which would be a shame since this is a story you have to experience.

Overall, Rally Racers is a fun game that is best played in shorter bursts since playing for long sessions can be a bit tedious for some of you due to how the game makes it so that you can't progress further unless you complete all objectives in each race you take part of. Once you've managed to get to the end there is not much in the way of replay value since there is no local multiplayer that could keep you coming back for more.
