Riddled Corpses EX is a fun twin-stick roguelike release that is very challenging, but its gameplay mechanics are very easy to understand, making this one a game that is easy to pick up and get the hang of. The grind for this one is very real, especially if you want to get all trophies for the game, since this one has a full trophy list with a Platinum for you! This one is probably best suited for short bursts of gaming, which is why its great that you can play it on PlayStation Vita.

Aperion Cyberstorm is certainly a fun game on Nintendo Switch that you can enjoy at home or on the go by yourself or with some friends for hectic matches where anything goes. aPriori Digital did a solid job with this game, and I look forward to seeing what the team does next!

80% - Frost

Frost is a minimalist deck-building card survival game on Nintendo Switch that I highly recommend that you play on Nintendo Switch. Its gameplay mechanics are easy to understand but hard to master, and I'm sure you're going to love your time with this indie release from Studio Tenebres, Stage Clear Studios and Digerati.

Phobos Vector Prime: The First Ring is a fun arcade-style twin-stick shooter on PS4 that does some things right while falling short in others. It's a good first entry from this Spanish indie team, and I look forward to seeing how they handle the next entry in the series.

VERTICAL STRIKE ENDLESS CHALLENGE is a competent aerial combat game, but the barebones presentation and subpar graphics hurt it. You will have fun chasing a new top score, but you can't chase and fight against other people, and that's disappointing. If you are looking for an air to air and air to land battle game and have that itch scratched, then this may do the trick.

I really liked Ultra Space Battle Brawl. The combination of Pong and a fighting game works really well and makes for a fun arcade-style release. My main criticisms come down to the difficulty level, the lack of extra modes and no online play, but if those things don't bother you, then you'll get to enjoy a fun and fast-paced game that is very entertaining when playing against a friend.

SubaraCity is a colorfully minimalist puzzle game on that is a fun and simple release to enjoy on Nintendo Switch. The gameplay is easy to understand, and trying to beat your high score will keep you coming back to play some more. The game could have benefitted from having an online leaderboard, but this is not a deal-breaker.

I'm not sure if you can tell, but I really liked Guacamelee! 2. It took what made the first game and made it even better. Now that I've finsihed100% of the game I can say that its length was perfect, and I now look forward to doing a new run on Hard to get the final trophy I'm missing to unlock a new Platinum trophy for my collection. Guacamelee! 2, as was the case for its predecessor, is a must-buy release and one of the best games on PS4.

Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Deluxier Edition is a very fun and unique experience that is definitely worth your time and money. The game's premise, gameplay mechanics, retro art style, and humor make this a very fun and excellent addition to the PlayStation 4 library, and after playing this one I'm more than up for playing the sequel!

Muddledash is a fun party game on Nintendo Switch from slampunks and pqube that will keep you busy for a while, as long as you're playing with family or friends. The game is definitely aimed at younger players who, with the help of an adult, can have a good time with this procedurally generated release.

West of Loathing is a game I highly recommend that you get on Nintendo Switch. It has a lot of content to offer, very funny dialogue and item descriptions, solid gameplay mechanics and a minimalist art style that just works. I had a blast playing this game for my review, and I'm sure you're going to love playing it at home or on the go.

This is a series that you should experience. Not just one game, but the whole trilogy! I suggest you don't come to The Banner Saga 3 without having played the other ones, since understanding how the series works, as well as experiencing the whole trilogy, is how you should take on this excellent strategy series. Play the series and enjoy the ride.

All-Star Fruit Racing tries to be the kart racing game we want on the PlayStation 4, but its lack of some extra polish hurts it. The game looks as if it was from last gen, and the frame rate is all over the place, which hurts the flow of a kart racing game. It does have a few good ideas and the kart racing mechanics are okay, but this isn't the game we have been waiting for.

Final Thoughts iNK Stories has given us a very unique experience by retelling a historical conflict, perfectly fitting for its genre. It's not a long game, and doesn't have much replay value once you're done, but the few hours you'll spend with 1979 Revolution: Black Friday will be great and will certainly be interesting for people who are curious about historic political events like this. Hopefully, this is not the last historical narrative experience we get, as it could give Telltale Games some competition!

75% - Kensho
Aug 15, 2018

I thought Kenshō was a neat puzzler that does some interesting things, but, in the end, it still feels like it's missing something. It has plenty of puzzles for you to complete, and it's a very chill game to play at home or on the on the Nintendo Switch, making this a solid pick up and play game for your console.

Rascal Revolt is a fun and colorful game on PS4. The one complaint I'd have about the game is that the camera could use some extra work since I felt it moved around a bit too fast, but other than that, this is a game that is easy to recommend on Sony's console.

If you like first-person experiences (a.k.a. walking simulators), and don't mind experiencing the particular topics that Anamorphine deals with, then you should check this one out on PlayStation 4. It features a story that will certain touch you, especially if you've dealt with something similar to what the main protagonist goes through. The one complaint I'd have is that the loading times between chapters are a bit on the long side, and that the game loads for a few seconds at weird spots, but this is probably something that the team is working on to improve by way of a patch.

70% - Narcosis
Aug 10, 2018

Narcosis is a solid first effort from indie Honor Code. As a first-person survival game, it provides a nice experience with its gloomy setting where one false step can send you plummeting down to your death. If you're not careful, you might run out of oxygen, which I'm sure is a painful way to go. And then there are the giant and deadly crabs that can puncture your suit with a single stab. There's danger around every corner, and Honor Code has done a great job at portraying that on PS4.

All in all, Aces of the Luftwaffe – Squadron is a fun endeavour if a little simplistic at times. It is definitely recommended if you're a fan of shoot 'em up games and are looking at something a bit different.
