Critic Reviews for Aces of the Luftwaffe - Squadron
An entertaining and direct shoot em up, which tries to differentiate itself from the rest of the titles of the genre with its particularities. Although being a mobile port, you certainly notice the seams. Even so, it is ideal to pass the time.

Aces Of the Luftwaffe: Squadron does a lot of things right over its short duration. Tight gameplay, small innovations to the shoot 'em up genre and terrific local co-op. Unfortunately, the grind to level up characters and lengthen the playtime turns what was once fun into a tedious and frustrating slog.
It's not that I didn't like playing Aces overall, I'm just frustrated because I can see a great game underneath the clutter of skill lines and odd design choices.
With support for up to four players, Aces of the Luftwaffe - Squadron is a good pick for those seeking multiplayer shmup action.
Proven design principles make Aces of the Luftwaffe: Squadron easy to pick up for first timers and friends roped into multiplayer, but those experienced with scrolling shooters wont find anything new to hold their attention.
Really, there's not much else to say here. Aces of the Luftwaffe: Squadron tries to go its own way in a crowded genre, but it fails to light that proverbial fire. Surviving a constant barrage of enemy fire is supposed to be thrilling, but it's just not the case here. Even during the most intense shoot-outs, some will find it hard to stay awake. All in all, this shmup is tough to connect with, let alone enjoy.
All in all, Aces of the Luftwaffe – Squadron is a fun endeavour if a little simplistic at times. It is definitely recommended if you're a fan of shoot 'em up games and are looking at something a bit different.
I highly recommend that you get Aces of Luftwaffe Squadron on Nintendo Switch as its a fun shoot 'em up with an interesting power-up system and lots of content to enjoy. The one complaint I'd have for the game is the small slowdown experienced during more action-packed sequences, but it's not a deal-breaker since it doesn't happen everywhere – the developer will probably patch this soon.
