If you're a fan of the SRPG genre, then I highly recommend that you get Mercenaries Saga Chronicles on Nintendo Switch. It has a ton of content at a very affordable $14.99, and completing all three games at least once will require dozens of hours of gaming at home or on the go. The games aren't perfect, and playing all three back to back to back might feel as if you're playing different (very long) chapters of the same game due to how they share the same overall look and gameplay mechanics, but for SRPG aficionados this won't be a deal-breaker.

Starlit Adventures is a fun and colorful 2D adventure that does Free to Play (F2P) right.

7 / 10 - Titan Quest
Apr 10, 2018

Titan Quest is an interesting title to review in 2018. It looks good and has transitioned from PC to console fairly well, but the issue is that there are several ARPG on PS4 which play better and have new features that have upgraded the formula. But if you're in the mood for playing a revamped classic on Sony's home console, then you should definitely check this one out – who knows, we might a sequel at some point!

7 / 10 - Party Planet
Apr 9, 2018

With so many games in Party Planet there's definitely going to be some you're going to really like, while others might feel a bit boring. Overall, it's a good mix of games, especially if you have kids to play with. The one complaint I have is that I didn't like that a lot of the games were locked up instead of being made available from the start. After playing for several hours, there were still five games left to unlock. But if you're looking for a new party game for Nintendo Switch, this one might scratch that itch.

This is another strong and solid lineup of pinball tables for Pinball FX3, and a must-have set of tables, even more so if you're a fan of the Jurassic Park series. I'm glad to see Zen Studios trying new things for their pinball tables as they take on these large franchises. I can't wait to see if there will be a new table for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom later this year.

9 / 10 - Q.U.B.E. 2
Apr 5, 2018

Toxic Games have built on top of their successful first game and made an even better one in Q.U.B.E. 2. The game never feels repetitive and is a blast to play, so if you're a fan of puzzle games you should jump on this one. I hope someday we get to see a Q.U.B.E. 3!

Subsurface Circulas is a great adventure release that shines on the Nintendo Switch. The HD rumble ads to the overall feel of the game, and the music greatly complements the overall experience to give us a short but great indie release that is one of the best game's on the Nintendo Switch. The game looks great on TV and on the Switch's screen, with a solid art style that shines on Nintendo's hybrid console.

8 / 10 - Minit
Apr 3, 2018

Minit surprised me. After starting on a small scale that will make you think that it will be over in a few minutes, the game will soon let you know it's a larger adventure. I liked playing through the campaign of Minit, since The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is one of my favorite games of all time – it also has a bit of Half-Minute Hero in it, which is definitely great.

If you're looking for a colorful and charming simulation/RPG with streamlined gameplay mechanics and a relaxing pace, then you might dig The Trail: Frontier Challenge on Nintendo Switch. It's not without its issues, but the overall experience, the challenges to complete and the skill tree for progress make for a fun release.

If you're in the mood for a more arcade-like release, then you should definitely look into giving R.B.I. Baseball 18 a go. The game has been considerably revamped from its 2017 version, with a new franchise mode that will keep you busy for a ton of time.

7 / 10 - Nuclien
Mar 29, 2018

Nuclien is a fun and fast-paced puzzle release on Nintendo Switch that you're either going to love or hate. The simple gameplay mechanics and overall difficulty curve feel just right, but this is the type of game that is definitely not for everyone. The minimalist graphics make it easier to focus on what is going on in the screen, but if you're into flashy games with lots of visual effects, then this one is not for you.

9 / 10 - Membrane

Membrane is a clever and fun puzzle/platformer with a weird premise that serves as an interesting setup for a short but amusing game you can enjoy at home or on the go on Nintendo Switch that you should definitely check out.

There is a lot of returning stuff in this sequel but it also has some new things that will make fans of the prequel have even more fun with The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2. I loved the first one so I do miss Metallia, but Chelka is definitely a fun character to take on for this sequel. She's just as sassy and feisty as Metallia, but with some extra layers that make this new game feel very fresh. If you're in the mood for a new action RPG on PS4, then this is exactly what you need!

Considering that The Long Reach is the first title developed by Painted Black Games, I feel comfortable saying it's going to be a great success. The story is intriguing and the puzzles are a lot of fun to solve, and I look forward to seeing what the studio does next!

The Darkside Detective was a pleasant surprise on Nintendo Switch. I was expecting a fun bite-sized point and click adventure game, but not one as funny and polished as what I got to review. I had a blast playing The Darkside Detective, and I look forward to seeing what the team does next. If you're a fan of the genre, then you definitely need to play this one!

While the game is a bit linear with its story objectives, there is room to explore in each level, with some great-looking locations that will surprise you. I have had an absolute blast playing the game for long and relaxing gaming sessions. de Blob 2 is a very fun, colorful and addictive painting puzzler with a nice Platinum trophy that has only one missable trophy. As long as you don't purchase any upgrade for your character during your run, you can get all trophies in one go. The first game was a fun release, and the sequel takes everything that was great about it and improves on the formula. Hopefully we get a de Blob 3 at some point!

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is a must-have game on PlayStation 4. The end of Kazuma Kiryu's run as the main protagonist of a series that start way back on the PlayStation 2 goes out with a bang, giving us the best Yakuza game ever. It will be very interesting to see where the team takes the franchise after this one, but after seeing what the Dragon Engine can do, I'm sure it will be a gorgeous entry that will keep the drama and the action going strong.

Little Red Lie is a very interesting release on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita that will definitely make you think about life and your actions. Its theme and the narrative in the stories of Sarah and Arthur will hit a bit too close to home for some, but that only means the story is believable and rooted in reality. It will make you feel uncomfortable, it will make you feel a bit depressed, and it will make you take a look at how you behave in your day to day, which is definitely not something many games can manage to do.
