CONTROL Resonant is a prime example of how a sequel can realise the full potential of a formula. While Remedy had undeniably succeeded in building a remarkable world with the first game, its many shortcomings arguably limited that world's impact. With this second instalment, however, the Finnish studio pushes past what we could have imagined, not only fixing most of its predecessor's flaws but also bringing in just the right amount of new ideas. The result is an adventure that is at once distinctive, gripping and impressive ; the kind that confirms Remedy as one of the most creative studios in the industry.

In essence, the additions of the Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition serve as a fine anniversary gift for Sucker Punch's latest feudal Japan title. The Echoes of Sekigahara expansion naturally complements the main game's formula, albeit perhaps a bit too safely and without major surprises, aside from a narrative that remains thankfully as compelling as ever. As for the Most Wanted mode, it is sure to keep fans occupied for hours, even if the paid access could have been avoided, especially considering how other PlayStation exclusives have handled such bonus modes in the past.

The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is more Walking Dead than Streets of Rage. The fan service will delight fans with nods to the series scattered throughout the adventure and several iconic characters.

Six years after *Rise of New Champions*, we were looking ahead to *Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters* as a game that promised to elevate a formula full of good intentions. Unfortunately, Tamsoft tries to reinvent this formula a bit too hastily to deliver a fully polished gameplay experience. While the fan service in the story is a delight, the exhilarating nature of the matches, which we love so much in the manga and anime, is missing. The game has enough to satisfy even the most die-hard fans, but it will need to go back to the drawing board to deliver an experience worthy of the legend.

Let's be clear: Marvel's Wolverine is a game that's likely to divide opinions. In line with Insomniac Games' latest titles, it takes the form of what could be described as the quintessential blockbuster- an explosively action-packed, finely crafted adventure that's a sheer delight to play from start to finish. Its linear approach, simplistic mechanics, and old-school superhero game charm, however, will likely not appeal to players looking for an experience that matches the maturity of the Wolverine universe. And even if it isn't perfect in every way, the fact is that, for us, the magic worked.

Orbitals is a game that wants to do well, there's no doubt about it. While Shapefarm excels in its graphics, the studio clearly aims to offer fresh co-op gameplay, even if it struggles to fully captivate us.

Elden Ring is still a masterpiece, even on Nintendo Switch 2. Yes, there are inevitably a few technical compromises, but nothing that really spoils the experience — apart from the frame rate drops, which can make certain sequences harder to read, especially in handheld mode. It's a perfectly solid port, one that may not take advantage of the Nintendo Switch 2's specific features, but that gives millions of players the chance to discover it in good conditions, and in the end that's all we were asking of it.
