95 / 100 - Absolum
Oct 24, 2025

Thanks to a spectacular gameplay system with tried-and-tested ideas and brilliantly executed new concepts, a perfect understanding of the genres it represents, and of course, a truly stunning audiovisual presentation, we can say that Absolum is one of the greatest games of 2025. It arrives with a relatively low profile, even though those behind it have already proven their immense talent. Needless to say, regardless of your current circumstances, you should definitely make time for Dotemu 's new release ; you truly won't regret it.

Visually, Obsidian has delivered a top-tier experience. The Unreal Engine 5 is masterfully used to transport us to worlds with unique personalities. Alongside this, the performance is spectacular, even on an Xbox Series S. However, The Outer Worlds 2 still suffers from the same outdated cinematics as 20 years ago. The same can be said of the music, which is practically nonexistent in this adventure. Fortunately, the sound design and fantastic voice acting manage to bring this corner of the universe to life.

86 / 100 - Ninja Gaiden 4
Oct 20, 2025

Thanks to its very clear objectives, Ninja Gaiden 4 brings the series back in a mostly solid form. However, flaws such as poor level design, repetition of ideas, and a general reluctance to attempt genuinely new things prevent it from being a much more significant achievement for the genre and for this new direction from PlatinumGames . Longtime fans, and likely a good number of new admirers, will find a very solid and intense hack-and-slash game that showcases the values the genre has always held, but precisely because it wants to stay within such a traditional framework, it carries over some of the vices that had been overcome over the years.

85 / 100 - Battlefield 6
Oct 20, 2025

It's worth noting that not everything is perfect; some aspects of the campaign could be polished, such as the artificial intelligence, and the balance between classes still needs adjusting, but the foundation is solid, and the commitment to the community is evident in every update. Battlefield 6 is a highly recommended experience for both veterans who long for the days of Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3, and for those who want to delve into the shooter genre with a tactical, spectacular, and accessible offering.

75 / 100 - Hell Is Us
Oct 6, 2025

While Hell is Us is fairly inconsistent, when it shines, it does so in a grand way. Its ambition is ultimately its greatest enemy. If the story were focused on a single conflict, and if the combat were more direct, it would be a hidden gem in 2025. The end result is something that will likely be forgotten this year, but with a little luck, it can be remembered in an interesting way in the future.

If you're a die-hard fan of this franchise and have played the other Digimon Story games , you definitely shouldn't miss this one. And even if this is your first time with the series, but you love the genre, I think it would be a good idea to give it a try. In fact, there's a demo available to clear up any doubts.

100 / 100 - Hades II
Sep 25, 2025

More than just a sequel, Hades II is a testament to the talent of Supergiant Games. The studio has once again proven that there's no one quite like them in this industry. Hades II is not only one of the best roguelites of recent years, but also one of the best games of 2025, showcasing the talent within the indie scene and the genre's immense potential.

In conclusion, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a pretty fun game, but there are some details to consider, as it's not as party-oriented as the Mario Kart franchise . It's not just about choosing a character and going racing, but also choosing your appropriate car setup and also the perks that give you a level of support, but not to the point of being broken.

Almost out of nowhere, this small group of Australians returns to deliver one of the most special video games I have played in a long time at a price that still sounds ridiculous to many, precisely when the conversation on this matter has taken on very intense overtones due to the sustained rise in the price of these products.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is one of the best games of the year. There's no doubt about it. Lizardcube are geniuses, and they've proven that any SEGA franchise has the potential to make a spectacular comeback, as long as it's in their hands. So, the only question remains: when will they give Golden Axe the same treatment?

Konami and Virtuos' remake doesn't replace the original, which we can currently find in the Master Collection, and it does a very superficial job of justifying its existence, beyond reviving interest in the series and generating revenue. The title leaves something to be desired, but—and this is the main dilemma—it remains one of the best games in history, yet one of the least interesting remakes of recent years.

As a midpoint in the Year of the Ninja, the Spanish studio delivers a great experience that all Ninja Gaiden fans should experience, and I imagine that more than one person will have Ragebound in mind when it's time to choose the best games of this year.

The additions and new content of Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV is good, but not great. If you still play this game, the new mini games and mode might be a good fit.

If you're looking for a full remake, you'll have to wait longer, as it's only a high-definition update. They're good games, but they don't have many improvements.

78 / 100 - Shadow Labyrinth
Jul 17, 2025

Shadow Labyrinth is a very interesting experiment from Bandai Namco. The game clearly has its flaws, but there's also a lot of potential here. If the developers have the opportunity to create a sequel, I'm sure they'll take everything that worked in this title and expand on it to deliver an experience that meets the goals the team surely had for this title.
