Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap is a great opportunity to look at one of the early games of the genre with a new hand-drawn graphics and a great soundtrack. If not for the lack of convenient maps and shortcuts next to the bosses and primitive by modern standards combat system, the game could claim the title of best remake of 2017.

Vroom in the Night Sky is not a game, but an empty prototype, which was released in the Nintendo eShop by mistake.

We were worried that the new project from Giant Sparrow will be something like another Gone Home, but as it turned out, between these games is a gulf like between the old rusty tractor and a Mercedes. This is a small work of art, framed in a modern digital form. Two hours spent in it were some of the most vivid, rich, and emotionally deep in our gaming life. What Remains of Edith Finch is really so great.

The Banner Saga Complete Pack is a great purchase for those who have not yet had time to play the series. Interesting turn-based combat, beautiful design and fascinating story should appeal to fans of hardcore role-playing games. The “Survival Mode” looks like a good bonus that could entertain players until the release of the final third game. It is also worth noting that the Banner Saga 2 finally got Russian localization.

Syberia 3 is another useless sequel to the cult game. Some interesting puzzles and great music can't save the project, filled with scenario holes, crooked mechanics and technical problems. If you want to play classical adventure game, then choose a gorgeous Thimbleweed Park and last year's remake of King's Quest, where everything is done right. Or, alternatively, just buy the first Syberia.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier Episode 4: Thicker Than Water leaves a number of unanswered questions, flashing plot gaps and too prolonged foreplay, but a quick and emotional ending gives us hope for a really bright and memorable finale.

Original Mario Kart 8 made gameplay almost perfect, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe goes even further and improves the game to the masterpiece, offering a full set of arcade fun and allowing you to play at home and on the road, enjoying deep mechanics, bright graphics and phenomenally thoughtful and really interestingly designed tracks. It's hard to imagine what Nintendo should do in order to make the next game even better. Without a doubt, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best installment in the series and just an ideal arcade racing that will brighten up the expectation of a full new ninth game.

Vikings – Wolves of Midgard is a compilation of popular ideas. Unfortunately, the game noticeably lacks diversity and interesting quests, and some of the design choices are simply disappointing.

I Am Setsuna for Nintendo Switch is disappointing with its uninspired story, a useless choice system and a primitive gameplay. Beautiful snow effects and lovingly drawn landscapes with atmospheric music, despite the duplication, feels great. But even that, most likely, will not be enough to get you through the game until the final credits.

In comparison with the first game, Outlast 2 is a huge leap forward with a lot of advantages, such as the deep atmosphere, great graphics, sound, violence and an intuitive plot development.

The world of Has-Been Heroes is too frustrating due to the same type of enemies, random difficulty level and lack of motivation to run it more than once a week. The only exception is the version for the Nintendo Switch, which can be good for short sessions in buses, subways and trains, replacing no less monotonous games for tablets and mobile phones.

Despite the lack of original ideas and obvious problems with the controls during the chases, Little Nightmares is very atmospheric stealth adventure game with great graphics, interesting main character, a strange world and impressive music. If you like INSIDE and Limbo, then be sure to play Little Nightmares too.

It would be useful for Cities: Skylines to learn from Tropico in respect of political background, still with its obligation of being a good-quality city builder this strategy keeps up brilliantly.

HAL Laboratory has managed to bring innovative solutions and interesting mechanics into the old concept. Puzzles are still cleverly constructed, but unlike the previous game new mechanics evenly distributed throughout the story, constantly bringing fresh experience.

Mr. Shifty is a game with a great idea and an interesting first levels, which is sorely lacking variability and rebalancing of gameplay in the later stages. Repetitive interiors and almost endless waves of heavily armed enemies begin to disappoint in the middle of the game. Which is very sad.

Drawn to Death is done with soul, but disappointing in gameplay aspects. It can not cope with it's duties in terms of matchmaking and providing a comfortable online play. And considering that except online there's nothing here, it becomes quite sad.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series - A New Frontier Episode 3: Above the Law seeks to break the vicious circle of the shock content, trying to create some semblance of a psychological series about morals and family values, but sometimes writers lack the skill to submit a story at the appropriate level.
