Darker, bolder and faster than ever Final Fantasy XVI is a fantastic return to form for the series. After years of trial and error this would be the absolute outcome but some light RPG elements and bland level designs puts it a little farther from perfection. Although it’s single player open world-ish venture is a bit of a chore, meaty new elements and a great roster almost makes up for that.
