Journey to the Savage Planet is full of breathtaking alien environments that you're encouraged to explore. I loved solving all of its puzzles and scanning each new flora and fauna I came across, but the shooting mechanics and world building could use some more work.

If you're looking for a reason to get back into The Surge 2, The Kraken is a good one. The base game has a lot of replayability because of "New Game +" mode that adds even more powerful weapons and challenges. The two put together offer a compelling experience because you can become truly unstoppable with the help of The Kraken's side quest.

Overall, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a good game, but it may not appeal to everyone. If you've seen the anime series, you know what to expect already. This can make the entire game seem a bit dull because there are no surprises. However, if you're looking for an experience where you can relive the best Dragon Ball Z moments – and get immersed in an open world with varying environments – then you should pick it up.

Compulsion's storytelling has evolved over the life of this game and now in these DLC packs, the immersive sim elements and gameplay design have seen similar improvements. While there's room to grow, as the sun sets on Wellington Wells for the last time, I'm looking forward to whatever is next for Compulsion as a part of Xbox Game Studios.

Saying this is the best Need for Speed games in years may not mean much when some of its recent predecessors were just decent, but Need for Speed Heat is a return to its roots for better or worse, and is still fun to play even if there are better racers out there.

This is the Star Wars game we've all been waiting for. It takes the best elements of Tomb Raider, Metroidvanias, and a dash of souls-likes to create a memorable and fun experience with amazing combat that makes you feel like a true Jedi.

There is some wonky balancing and AI logic evident, but Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is an absolute joy to play. Just be sure your PC can handle the requirements in order to get the full experience.
