Astro Bot: Rescue Mission is charming, intuitive, and above all, an absolute delight to play.

NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is a great improvement over the first game, and the addition of the ‘Season Mode’ adds that extra layer of fun. Mechanically, the game remains a classic arcade experience, with a sprinkling of difficulty, just enough to make things interesting.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has made a sacrifice that will definitely cause some to turn away from the title. However, removing the campaign came with its own line of benefits. Multiplayer has an addictive twist for those who like their traditional Call of Duty experience, Zombies is as engaging and fun as ever, and Blackout is arguably one of the best Battle Royale experiences available.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is a solid entry in the series. It sticks to its tried and tested formula, for better and sometimes worse, and provides an excellent entry point if you've not played them before. The small improvements outweigh the issues that have been present since the beginning.

Amnesia: The Collection offers up a good 15+ hours of tense exploration, puzzling, and scares that survival-horror fans should enjoy. With a strong focus on the narrative and mostly linear progression, you're unlikely to play through them more than once, but it's still great value for money.

9.5 / 10.0 - Megaquarium

I certainly will keep on playing. A game like this that has over 95 different species that need to be curated, hundreds of objects to research and decorations to be… decorated? There is still so much to be done! I'm ready to dive right back in.

God of War is a genre-defining epic, an emotionally powerful story, and a true modern gaming masterpiece. Game director Cory Barlog and the creative force at Santa Monica Studio deserve a huge applause for crafting an ambitious God of War experience that offers one of the most heart-wrenching and shocking pay offs in gaming history.

8.5 / 10.0 - Owlboy
Apr 15, 2018

In summary, Owlboy is a near-perfect retro adventure that doesn’t emulate classic 16-bit titles so much as it gives us what we remember them to be. Sprawling and epic, even in the confines of a 2D plane, full of likeable protagonists, nefarious villains, tough encounters, and an uplifting story that you’ll walk away from satisfied.

With fantastic visuals, a sweeping score and fun game mechanics, Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom delivers a decent JRPG experience. Sometimes the story struggles and the animations look a bit wonky, but a great combat system and a fun Kingdom Builder make up for this.

6.5 / 10.0 - Sea of Thieves

Simply put, it is a game that brings the pirate experience to life perfectly, but after a couple of hours, you will feel less like Blackbeard, and more like his manager. Rare could’ve done so much more with this opportunity, and hopefully, they will add some new content to spice things up.

Overall, my experience with Vermintide 2 was filled with ratman genocide induced glee, only the occasional matchmaking team-up proving too much to bear with and connections being stable enough, as well to avoid having blows miss or aimed shots wasted.
