My complaints are fairly minor, especially when compared to the vast amount of fun I had with Warhammer: Total War 2.
All in all, StarCraft: Remastered hasn’t really changed much outside of the aesthetics -- and that is totally fine! It might be 20 years old, and with the bit of work that’s been done, it’s looking damn good for it’s age. But it’s really is a case of “if it ain’t broke…” with this one. The gameplay had been consistently good since Brood War first came out, meaning there’s a reason why pro e-sports players still play the original StarCraft to this very day. It might be a lot less easy for newcomers to get into, but if you’re patient and diligent with the campaign, that should eventually teach you all you need to know to get online and get owned by some serious tryhards with a little more dignity. If the campaign and it’s incredible story is really all you’re in it for, then maybe sticking with the free Anthology version from Battle.net is for you, but StarCraft: Remastered is well worth £12.99 for a good looking, great sounding and definitive version of the game.
Kiwami doesn’t replace the original. The original Yakuza is an interesting retrospective, featuring a somewhat more down-to-Earth depiction of Kamurocho. However, Kiwami serves as a brilliant follow-up to Yakuza 0 in its own right. It was honestly really hard to put down in order to even write this review. Yakuza Kiwami is just an absolute blast.
The Coma: Recut is a must for horror fans that don’t mind a bit of difficulty in their 2-D side scrollers.
Team Salvato have created an interesting and very creative title. A visual novel's UI is often fairly simple, but the player is offered more control than they may first realise.
If you’re a fan of horror/action films you’ll have a good time playing through the various films to find your favourite character and kill scene paying homage to that magic film scene. Slayaway Camp is a game you’ll want to play if you fancy a change of pace from constant on the go action as it pays to take your time and plan your every move.
It’s Quiz Time is a great way to spend some time with family and mates with plenty of questions and categories that will keep it fresh for a long while with the bonus of it being highly accessible for younger players thanks to the family friendly option.
Resi Rev 2 is a much needed return to what makes the series so special. An intriguing story and Barry Burton are worth the asking price alone.
DmC Definitive Edition lives up to its name and corrects many of the wrongs that were present in the original. With faster gameplay and a load of replay value you, it's hard to argue that it isn't Capcom's best port in recent memory.
A brilliant example of how games should look on the next generation; crisp and elegant. The Order is a succinct but enjoyable experience that deserves to be considered a stellar entry into Sony's PS4 exclusive catalogue.
Shadow of Mordor provides Lord of the Rings and high fantasy fans with an interesting take on the Assassin's Creed formula. A visually stunning experience paced well and complimented by the Nemesis system.
A charming and easily grasped twin-stick shooter that acts as an endearing homage to the likes of Binding of Isaac.
A piece of art that asks the player to buy in to it's massive cast of characters and fall in love with The Banner Saga's involving story. Finding the perfect route will have players replaying The Banner Saga an endless number of times.
Battleborn is an important milestone for Gearbox Software, it’s a new IP and their first attempt at a competitive online shooter from the ground up. And to that effect Gearbox Software have completely knocked it out the park. It's a game best played with friends as there is little to nothing on offer in terms of a singleplayer experience.
Given that my love for the original DOOM games continues to compel me to keep playing them till this day. I can happily say that DOOM (2016) scratches everyone of my itches. The Singleplayer is definitely the highlight. With tons of gibs, gore and shotguns to pass around, I was head over heels in love with the campaign.
If Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 was the last entry in CyberConnect2's lengthy relationship with the series it would most certainly be a high note to end on.

Tiny Troopers:Joint Ops is brilliantly captivating. Meant to be played in short bursts, but interesting enough to grab you for prolonged periods. Even the awkward voice acting can't turn you away from the rest of Tiny Trooper's charm.
