Routine is one of those games that made me feel relief after finishing it. And I will never play it again. But not because it’s bad – on the contrary, it is a terrifying horror with a very immersive world. The atmosphere is so bleak and heavy that it can scare off some players. And that’s good!

First hours with Metroid Prime 4 were overshadowed by getting to know the controls, the gameplay, the puzzles (I got frustrated!). But after a while everything clicked and all that was left was enjoyment. A lengthy development cycle must have taken its toll on the final game, but if you’re a fan of unique games, Beyond is an interesting, rare genre-bender.

I am genuinely bummed about the state Project Motor Racing is landing in. Where the core gameplay, i.e. the driving itself and a sizeable collection of iconic cars, is well crafted, the clunky AI and damage model, along with really poor optimisation, get in the way of enjoying the game as much as possible.

If you own a Switch 2, have additional controllers, and a group of gaming friends, get yourself Kirby Air Riders. This is an adrenaline-filled game that represents the essence of good party games. Just don’t expect too much when playing alone.

Black Ops 7 is a painful proof that even the most talented studio can’t overcome time constraints. Low overall quality of this game is a direct consequence of the publisher’s greed – they are serving a meal that is somewhat enjoyable at first but costs like the most fancy course in a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Dispatch is a very interesting spin on the „interactive adventure” formula, and this band of super-misfits probably will steal your hearts as efficiently as the Guardians of the Galaxy or Invincible’s allies did some years earlier. And the best part: the developers have total control and don’t have to listen to any IP owners out there. This game really is a great animated series.

I think this is the best musou games have to offer, both in terms of gameplay and presentation. And if you have never tried this type of game, it’s a great moment to do so - Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is a truly great game when compared to its predecessors.

Anno 117 is, as a whole, a fine game that will allow fans of the series to enter a new era and enjoy mechanics that are more complex than those of its predecessor. The soundtrack is great, and the graphics are very pleasing to the eye. However, I feel that Ubisoft has played it a little too safe and lazy. Although I personally love Anno 1800, I didn't necessarily want the new instalment to be so similar to it.

Football Manager 26 has the potential to become one of the best games in the series. All the pieces are in place, but right now I feel torn between enthusiasm for the potential and frustration with the current state of this production. Great new features are not enjoyable when the basic functionality of the game has problems.

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is a well made, uncomplicated tycoon that offers some really nice graphics. It will be perfect for gamers with smaller expectations, fans of dinosaurs and – of course – Jurassic Park fanatics. But don’t buy it just yet – right now the game offers less content than the second installment.

Despite the flaws (game’s not pretty and kind of boring in the beginning) I would lie if I told you I did not have fun playing Legends Z-A. The story is quite cool and the new, real-time combat system made me want to play for hours at a time. It is a breath of fresh air for the series.

The new Painkiller is a weird, unfinished hybrid – a game with a story-driven campaign that masquerades as an endgame, a game that was meant to provide fun by playing quick raids, but someone forgot to create a worthwhile goal for it all. It looks like some random elements were cobbled together without key game systems.

The Outer Worlds 2 is okay, and perhaps that is its biggest flaw – it is unable to match either its powerful rivals or New Vegas, to which it is merely derivative. In a year packed with excellent games, it's hard to justify buying it when there are so many great, cheaper RPGs out there.

Bloodlines 2 has a massive potential and less problems at launch when compared to the first game. The characters, the world, the story are very good, and Paradox is a company know for embracing mods – who knows what the future will bring? I had a blast, despite some gameplay issues and absence of RPG mechanics, and fans of the universe should be more than happy.

The debut of a brand new Ninja Gaiden game after more than a decade has created great expectations in me, even more so, because this time it was a Platinum Games production. But such a long break could have created an image that is simply unrealistic. The finished product has a great combat system, but making Ryu a guest in his own game is a big problem.

Battlefield 6 is simply a truly excellent entry in the series. Not as good as Battlefield 4, but definitely the best in years. It already makes me want to play match after match and unlock every available weapon and add-on.

Little Nightmares III isn't a bad game, despite its many flaws. It's an average, craftsmanlike effort that offers a few hours of enjoyable fun. The problem is that this series has accustomed us to more than just lackluster accuracy. The first and second installments were treasure troves of bold ideas that stayed with us for a long time. I'll forget about this little nightmare very quickly.
