The best part of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is its gameplay design. Exploring various worlds is pleasant and thanks to smart location of gold coins you can't get lost. The combat is simple but there are new mechanisms and character introduced every now and then so it doesn't become boring. My encounter with Mario and the Rabbids lasted for more than a dozen of hours and it was really fun.

War of the Chosen is a massive expansion that adds lots of new things. Most of the focus on the most important thing in any turn-based tactical strategy game - gameplay mechanics. The game has lots of solutions introduced in previous expansions but the key was to make the game even more enjoyable. It worked - XCOM 2 with War of the Chosen is one of the best tactical strategies.

Agents of Mayhem utilizes a cool idea of steering a trio of agents, has cool cartoon graphics and proper Saints Row humor. Unfortunately the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired – there’s too much repetitiveness. Joy turns into boredom really quick.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a beautiful and unusual game for a very select audience. If you want to rest from various open worlds and focus on a very personal and linear story with tons of cool little details, this is something for you. I don’t think there ever was a game that displayed the madness of a troubled mind in such a way. Hellblade is a great single-player adventure!

Many gamers will bounce off of The Long Dark – it is extremely difficult and makes you remember about very basic stuff. The final version of the game offers a mediocre story mode and features some boring repetitiveness but overall quality is great – fans of slow exploration and learning will love it.

Albion Online is a MMORPG that requires an idea on how to play it. Sandbox Interactive has made a game with lots of possibilities but the trick is to learn how to use them. It doesn’t show you how, it throws you into some very deep and muddy waters and makes you figure it out.

Pyre is a beautiful and well made genre-bender that has all the things fans of indie games love plus a terrific atmosphere known from previous Supergiant Games products. The strange thing is: you play some sort of football but after a few matches everything will be clear and you’ll be feverishly putting together new teams and strategies. Awesome!

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is one of the best expansions in the history of MMORPGs. It turns FFXIV's storyline upside down, introduces cool new classes and has an amazing soundtrack. It won't appeal to people who don't like FFXIV, but the fans should be in awe. It has everything they like, but it's bigger and better.

It must have been a challenge to put all of this together, with groundbreaking patterns as an example. But the creators of the Dishonored series were worth trusting because the final product, despite a few mishaps, can certainly be considered one of this year's hits.

If you already own Wii U and know Mario Kart 8 there's not much reason for you to buy it again. But in case this is your first encounter with this series and you have a bunch of gamer friends to spend time with, it is a must buy for you. Yet another great game for Nintendo Switch.

The offensive of great games for Sony consoles continues at its best. Persona 5 continues this trend, this time providing joy to fans of Japanese RPG's... and outsizing the recent success of Final Fantasy XV.

At the beginning of March, the hearts of the audience stole the new Zelda, but it is worth remembering that this is not the only outstanding production that came out at that time. Before you NieR: Automata – the work of geniuses (but also madmen) from Platinum Games.

The new Zelda game is so big and so full of everything that it's impossible to write about all of that in a traditional review. Breath of the Wild is a true system seller, probably the best starting game in the history of gaming. Nintendo is back and if only this quality of game design is maintained, Switch will become THE console. No question.

At Horizon Zero Dawn, we waited a long time, eagerly absorbing more graphic materials, served by the creators. Now, after a few dozen hours with the title, we know that it was worth looking for this sandbox RPG.

There are several levels of madness. Until now, attempts to create an RTS for the console were probably only ahead of a bungee jump without bungee. Halo Wars 2 of the development duo 343 Industries and Creative Assembly clearly shows that times are changing.

Realpolitiks suffers from being designed simultaneously for the PC and mobile devices. It's really hard to create a game that will be successful on both platforms. Jujubee's creation takes inspiration from big, complex strategies and at the same time simplifies the mechanics and the audiovisual side. There will be no success on the PC, perhaps the future mobile edition can do more.

Nioh shines! The fighting system is satisfying, Diablo-like loot and character development motivate you to keep playing, and gameplay mechanisms reminiscent of Dark Souls complete the image of a really good game. It combines well-known elements but in the end becomes something else entirely.

The trilogy of adventures of Ezio Auditore da Firenze is, according to many players, the best period in the history of the Assassin's Creed series.

Civilization VI is pretty much the best incarnation of the famous series on release day. It takes things from Civ V and makes them better, plus it introduces many changes and new additions. And it's really pretty. There are some classic issues with a not-so-smart AI on top of the pile, but the "one more turn" syndrome is strong. And that's the best recommendation you can give.

The graphic design looks phenomenal - from the dynamically changing sky to the dense forest vegetation - we can pick out some eye-catching detail at every step.
