The story is very meaty in The Evil Within 2 (no pun intended) which will keep players engaged for a good many hours. It’s not a game with a simple blow through narrative though. It takes time to see it to completion.
Unfortunately, while Shadow of War is a decent enough game, it never manages to capture what made the original so special. Bigger isn't always better and in Shadow of War's case its doubly true.
Super Mario Odyssey is a once-in-a-generation game and every self-respecting gamer should sit back and enjoy it. Nintendo has outdone itself yet again and we're the lucky ones who get to reap the benefits.
Despite some slight movement issues and nil story, High Hell is a fun, fast-paced FPS. It doesn’t try to be anything other than that, nor does it need to.
Amongst the like of Super Mario Odyssey, Yooka-Laylee, Sonic Mania, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and even Cuphead, Super Lucky's Tale trails far behind. If you only own an Xbox One and are desperate for some platforming, then you'll have a decent time with Super Lucky's Tale
As a whole, Assassin’s Creed: Origins really felt fulfilling. The gameplay was fresh and functional. The visuals and design are vibrant and outstanding.
Even though Fire Emblem Warriors is filled with great characters and Fire Emblem elements, it's more Warriors than it is Fire Emblem.
If you have a group of friends over for a night, this is a great game to add to the nights’ entertainment or a fantastic babysitter on a Saturday morning.
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a brave title that addresses some of the harshest realities of our time through the skewed lens of satire. It doesn’t take long, to realise that as far-fetched as The New Colossus seems, it might be just around the corner.
Call of Duty WWII is an excellent return to form from a series that has jumped the shark. CoD in space was a ridiculous diversion that pulled focus away from the core of the franchise. Call of Duty WWII puts the attention squarely on the strength of the gameplay and the bravery of men who fought for the freedom of the world.
I honestly can’t recommend Skyrim on Switch enough. Even if you’ve played it before, you know you want to play it again. Go on, take the Dovahkiin with you to make those dreary trips to work bearable. It’s going to be worth it.
DOOM for Nintendo Switch is a revelation. It’s important not just because it gives Switch owners a hardcore shooter to play. It also demonstrates what the Switch is capable of.
Gattai Games has created a really great example of how to use PSVR to enhance an experience and I look forward to seeing what the come up with next.
Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 may be a remake, but it’s easily one of the best remakes ever released. Shadow of the Colossus is one of the best games ever made and it deserves to be experienced in the incredible form Bluepoint Games has delivered.
If you are a fan of Dragon Ball, get this game, simple as that
Dragon Quest Builders is truly unique and is definitely a worthwhile experience. Despite being available for PlayStation for over a year it’s still hugely playable on Switch
If you've not played Bayonetta before and you own a Switch, now is the time. The release of both Bayonetta 1 and 2 on Switch is an absolute boon. These releases are the definitive and best ways to play both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2.
It’s a truly immersive experience that really shows just what VR can do in the right hands. Bravo to Polyarc for Moss, it’s a testament to creativity and design.
For the fans of the Monster Hunter series, you will be pleased. It's got a massive list of improvements that speak for themselves.
For a free-to-play game, this game certainly exceeds its value.
