Genesis Noir is unique in the way that it is actually different from anything you consider a video game. The bits that make the full span of the game, at first glance shouldn’t really be part of the same whole but they’ve been put together so masterfully that it works beautifully on both the artistic and the emotional levels and it still feels and plays like a true video game.

It seems that Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood had some very nice ideas under its hood but they just haven't come together as good as they should in the final product. Although the combat has its moments and the world building is quite intriguing, at the end of the day it's just a cycle of repetitive and banal moments.

As part of a trio of additional content, A New God is kind of acceptable and it’s a good thing that it feels like a real new content and not just some cut content from the original game but the lack of variety in gameplay and the frustration that stems from the physics based puzzles, make this feel like a step back from the base product.

Nioh 2 developers are like some ruthless gods of the old myths, they have designed some of the biggest challenges of the video games history but they also have given enough tools to you to overcome all these challenges, you only have to have the will and perseverance to do it. You don’t necessarily need to be a masochist to have fun with it but that helps with your overall enjoyment. And last but not least, this Complete Edition gives you a lot of content that you wouldn’t need to buy anything else for some time.

Although Encodya has good humor, likeable characters, nice music and distinct art style, mediocre and boring puzzle design stops us from recommending it to the fans of point and click games.

This is as straight forward as a beat 'em up title gets and since it was first released, this genre has seen some changes since it first came out but the charisma and the character that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World brings to the table, makes it a title still worth experiencing after 10 years or so.

Unlike most trilogies, the World of Assassination’s last part sticks the landing in the best possible way. Gameplay-wise there isn’t lots of new toys here but the hero of gameplay has always been the missions themselves in this series and Hitman III has some of the most memorable ones under its hood. The story goes to some dark and interesting places and the music is there to help it hit the gamers with more power.

The art style, music and voice acting are the real heroes here because the story and specially the monologues that are used to convey the story doesn't do much to awaken the sort of feelings that are necessary for this kind of game to make an impact and the gameplay is the most basic kind of walking sim you could expect.

Fuser is definitely one of the best and of course the few games released in the rhythm genre in recent years and the eighth generation of consoles. A title that thanks to its gameplay and mechanisms, gives its audience a lot of freedom to create and mix different pieces of music from more than a hundred of famous songs and at the same time, it is a highly addictive title. The only thing that can be criticized is the lack of freedom for making more interesting mixes due to the game's rating system which kind of gets in the way of the gamer's creativity and personal style.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is not only one of the best eighth-generation titles, but also one of the best fighting titles ever made; And it will probably remain one of the best games of its genre for many years to come. Well-made gameplay, good sound and music, and great visual effects, along with the rich and varied content of the game, make MK 11 a unique and addictive work that shines among the titles of its genre.

The music is lovely and it controls quite nicely on consoles but that's all the good things about Empire of Sin because the core gameplay feels very simple and willy-nilly designed and the amount of bugs and glitches are unbelievable.

El Hijo - A Wild West Tale is one of those games that you like to pour yourself a hot drink after a busy cold winter day and experience calmly. In addition to the eye-catching appearance, the game's stealth system - although it could have given the player more freedom of action - is clever and enjoyable.

There is banter, love, fight for survival and it all revolves around two very likable protagonists and has a nice art style. This is not one of those dark dystopian futuristic rebel stories, it is about two people trying to have their own piece of freedom and it is a nice change of pace between all these dour same-y sci-fi games and movies. The gameplay could’ve had more range to it but all in all it’s good enough for the game it is trying to be.

The vast number of places Immortals Fenyx Rising were taking its core ideas from, should have made it an unimaginative title but in action, it is a very good and welcoming surprise. From its revisionist take on Greek mythology to the very intricate puzzles with many, many moving parts, this is one the most fun open world games in recent years.

The original release of Devil May Cry 5 was not only what the fans were asking for years but the additions to the old formula made it better than the highest of expectations. This Special Edition adds more to the already impressive package and it’s one of the best titles for the maiden voyage of your new console.

Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a very mediocre independent game that you probably will not interact with. It also gets boring quickly due to its numerous problems. It would be great for the developers to address these problems and fix the game.

Music has always been a very important part of Kingdom Hearts and a rhythm game is a very understandable step for this series and it kind of works. The problem is that the story which has always been the core of this franchise is totally forgotten here because about two third of it is the recap of story so far and the new material doesn’t really move the story as much as a 10-hour full priced title should.

Bugsnax is one of the loveliest and most interesting surprises of this year. Under the wacky and crazy skin it's been showing since its unveiling, there is a very deep and fun gameplay with a good story full of lovable characters that make this one the absolute must plays of today's market.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is an unoriginal game and, in many ways, a repetition of previous Supermassive Games titles that still suffer from acting problems. However, the mood and atmosphere of its story is similar to the Silent Hill series which turns this title into a heartwarming experience for horror fans.
