The original game remains untouched and is still as challenging and addicting as ever, but consumers looking for something new won't find it here. The game's throwback sound and graphics look fantastic on the PS4 and the Xbox One, but obviously a game built around the 8-bit aesthetic doesn't benefit from a current-gen remake the way something like The Last of Us or Grand Theft Auto 5 is able to.

A witch's curse, charming graphics, and chaotic gameplay save this fast-paced but repetitive dungeon crawler 'The Weaponographist' from mediocrity. Just don't call it a roguelike.

Life Is Strange remains an excellent game for those who like choice and consequence games, though the gameplay in the second episode is a little lackluster. As seemingly small choices you made in Episode One come back to haunt you—such as the decision to erase something on a white board or little comments you might make—you get the sense that your choices really matter in a way they don't in many other games that include choices. This is Max's life, and though she may rewind and change it, the choices she makes will still impact the way the story goes.
