CFG Games's Reviews
While not a perfect experience because of some clunky controls outside of combat and weird story pacing, Fatal Frame Maiden of Black Water is a title that any fan of survival horror should look to have added to their collection.
The game may not have reinvented the wheel for gameplay, but it doesn't have to. It's still damn fun!
Blue Reflection: Second Light is an entertaining JRPG, and its craftsmanship shines with an elegant interface, sweeping tunes, and environments that feel simultaneously ordinary and bizarre.
A bright and fun take on being a fictional, modern day Cupid.
While this release's extras are a bit sparse, Panorama Cotton's technical prowess is still impressive twenty-seven years later. The game can be a bit hard to read, but the sheer insanity on-screen can provide a fun time.
An unreleased Hololive character on a quest to stop a Hatsune Miku character gone wild.
Add another star to the rating if you like being trolled. UnMetal relies on its writing to keep the player invested. If the jokes can't keep you on your seat, the gameplay won't either.
Zenovia Interactive shows its love for these classic arcade games and that brings out the best in Steel Assault!
Astria Ascending is full of wonderfully hand-painted visuals and fantastic tunes. While it provides plenty of customization options and sticks to established roleplaying mechanics, the arbitrary pacing and balance can dampen the experience.
Tetris Effect has delightfully expanded upon the Tetris formula, and the Switch version properly captures the game's audiovisual flair.
I highly recommend that people check out this visual novel as it is unlike anything that I have ever experienced before and I doubt that I will experience anything like in the future.
Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance was meant to be the spiritual successor to the 2001 classic Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance. Built as a hack n slash RPG, Dark Alliance brings to life the heroes of Icewind Dale and the epic story of the Crystal Shard.
Tribes of Midgard is the entry level survival game for those who either don't play the genre or are new to it.
Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1 brings back two classic NIS Playstation 2 titles. If you aren't a stickler for graphics, this retro collection is perfect to take on the go for any tactical RPG or NIS fans.
Zengeon is a chore to play with a mixture of its stiff and boring combat, game-breaking bugs, and systems that don't work right.
Pretty Princess Party is a robust and fun dress up decorating experience for all ages. Couch co-op and and many items invite multiple hours of play in spite of a short story.
It won't be everyone’s cup of tea with slower pacing and simplistic puzzles, but if you can overlook that then I believe you’ll enjoy Feral Cat Den’s Genesis Noir.
Five men with morally questionable goals that blur the lines between good and bad.
Heart of the Woods is an amazing story that's brought down by how unstable the Switch port is. When this is patched it will be easier to recommend it.
Dariusburst Another Chronicle EX+ focuses on delivering the ultimate version of the arcade game Another Chronicle EX with a handful of extras.
